I liked Tobi's character before.. but now I really love him!
Not only is he funny but extremely manipulative and clever...

I said it once and i'll say it again, totally diggin' where Kishimoto is taking the story of Naruto!

The conspiracies and shrouded mystery surrounding Itachi is heightening my interest quite a bit more than I expected.

Most of all, showing government and institutions in a more sinister light just feels more mature and realistic than the 'happy-go-lucky' feeling the original series had. Not to say that was ever bad, I mean the kids were 12 in that one. But Shippuden does feel more 'grown-up'.. I like that alot! Even the story-telling.

I guess I was wrong again on the Tobito theory.. damn

I totally agree that this entire mess is just making Sasuke more of a head case. Wouldn't it be interesting if the 4th ordered the attack and Naruto's mother is really Pain? I just think it's interesting how Naruto and Sasuke keep becoming intertwined in this story based on their families' pasts.

Okay I realize I am rather late on saying this, and I doubt I have to put it as a spoiler, but.....looks like my sig. was right!

Though I didn't think it would be so literal when I made it.

Anyways;

Itachi is now a good guy protecting his younger brother? Great...guess I only have Orochimaru to look up to now....whenever he comes back again.

I am however still intrigued with the story that Madara is telling.

Is Itachi really dead? Or are they going to pull that "Orochimaru" is alive crap....I hope he is not really dead

I doubt they'd 'revive' him, his passing is revealing
alot of information that would otherwise not surface.

Plus without his death, Sasuke's character (and
story for that matter) would not progress/change

They kill off the interesting characters...

But I think...

That killing him off like that really sucked...Maybe dying in order to protect his brother (by taking the bullet) or something like that...it would have seemed more heroic....But hey..I like Tobi..so all the power to him

Not really a spoiler, but just in case:

My fear is that Lee's days are numbered, thanks to that interview Kishimoto gave a while back. I'm torn. The characters you really don't want to die often have fantastic death scenes, but... it's Lee! Honestly, Jiraiya and Tsunade I can accept, but that one's going to sting if it happens.

died? You would not expect that one...would you?
I just wonder if it will be as long as Inuyasha or One Piece.
But I like Tobi, and seeing more of him is nice

I sure wouldn't, and if it happened I'd be seriously disappointed.

To me, that'd be like... I don't know, Frodo actually taking a nose dive into the lava. It would totally change the theme of the whole story. I can't imagine it happening in a way that would be satisfying.

Not that I think it will happen, mind you!

I think the manga is focusing too much on Sasuke Now..I thought it was called NARUTO...
But rather than killing one or Naruto's random friends....just kill Sasuke off, that would really move the story around. But it looks like the manga creator just creates characters to later kill them off...why not kill off one of the main cast???? With Itachi dead...I'm just
