Inuyasha Ending in 2 Chapters?? **Newest

Anyone else hear this??

According to the weekly 'Spoiler', the manga is supposed to end @ CH 558 -- just 2 from this week's

I'm SO not ready and I don't see how the ending could possibly be a satisfactory one with such a quick finale -- too much left to wrap up so fast

I want my Inu/Kag moment!! I waited frickin' years and I want more than just a 'quickie'

I hadn't heard that, but personally I am ready for an ending though I would love an IY/Kagome moment as well.

I'm so ready for it to be done. I just hope that those two end up together. I will be seriously pissed if after 558 chapters they don't end up together and we're left hanging.

But then there won't be any reason to have a fourth, fifth, and sixth movie.

I can't possibly see this ending in 2 chapters. If you have read the current chapters......
What has happend so far is: (if you don't want to read all +500 chaps)
1).

Naraku was killed, and so have his minions

*happy dance*
2).

He made a wish, to make Kagome get trapped in the jewel

I could have thought of a better one, but then again he is crazy...
3).

Inuyasha used his sword to find Kagome

4).

The well is GONE!!! So Kagome has a wish, she can wish to go home, but then if she does that she is SCREWED because it's a selfish wish and the jewel will eat her @ss. And then NARAKU gets reincarnated....For the love of g'd PLEASE NO!!!!Let the SOB stay dead!!!!!!

Based on that, and where the last chap left off, it can't end in two chapters...and if it does, it won't give us enough closure....

And for you KagXInu loves, you should have read the last chapter...it was SWEET!!!! Inuyasha said:

well this is exicting. i haven't followed the whole manga but i've caught it off and on... and i've read the last few chapters.

i hope it ends well.

and yay for the inuyasha/kagome moment in the last chapter

I know, last chapter was an Inu/Kag sqweeeeeeeeee moment

-- I just want them to have that moment together *and not just one panel, either*

.... and I know the manga's been drawing to a close and I'll be happy for a resolution to the Inu-tachi's long and drawn out saga -- just not in 2 weeks

... 2 months, maybe, but 2 weeks seems like no matter what happens, I'll feel cheated after all this time

Not from what I have heard - well at least not at Sunrise
Studio. They are too caught up in Kekkaishi, and have
no intention of starting up Inuyasha again. Also, Rumiko
Takahashi helped out with the first series, and has said she
didn't want to help out on it if it continued. Unless things
have changed in the last year, that is what I heard.

Sadly, same here.

I heard they might consider a 5th movie but that was a while ago. I haven't heard anything since. birdie is usually my go to person on all the latest Inuyasha buzz. Maybe she's heard something.

Well, I made a 'call out' to one of my IY lists -- as I thought I heard something different (gotta keep hope alive

)-- and this was my reply:

To sum up what Suwa (IY Producer) said at the Inuyasha "industry" panel at
Animazement, he repeatedly used the term "hiatus" when referring to
the original stopping of the Inuyasha anime, and in fact said that he
was wanting additional televised episodes (as opposed to an OVA
format). He also mentioned that he had hoped to get the original time
slot of 7pm on Mondays, but that the problem there was that another
series was currently at that time..... Of course, it's going to take some time to get the animation
production going.........

Hopefully, we'll hear something official soon -- and I know it's just the fangirl in me, but I'm pulling out the whole

Since everyone is so hyped on the end I started reading the manga again. It's going to take a quite a bit of time for me to catch up since I'm only around the arc when Sango appears.

I do hope the ending will be good. I want to see Inuyasha and Kagome together at the end.

I will hold out hope for a return to the series, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm chompin at the bit to see how they end it in two chapters if in fact that is the case.

Okay, anyone else think this just a wee bit too simple/easy??

Kagome's wish on the Shikon no Tama:

Kagome: 'Jewel, Begone! Forever!!!'

Jewel: *Poof*

ME: 'Waaaah??' That's it?!?! ............... You'dve thought somebody in chapter 1 page 2 could've thought of that and finished the whole manga in a one-shot

Still............... next week's finale.
