That was a really mental episode. :messed

It seems like we might have at least learned something about Geass and C.C. from this episode.
It would kind of make sense if C.C. was looking for a good candidate to inherit Geass from her - someone who wanted it badly and someone that would hopefully be somewhat mentally stable.

But the candidate didn't have to be morally "good" though. :evilblk

This episode made me wonder about the natural progression of Geass Users.

Do all regular, mortal Geass users go insane at some point (with their length of sanity based primarily on their mental strength)?

How was the Emperor able to become a Geass Giver? How was he able to take it away from V.V.? Was V.V. coerced into doing it or did he do it somewhat willingly?

There's a lot of question left hanging.

Now I understand why C.C. was surprised that Lelouch went to the next phase of his Geass so quickly. It seems like her progression was much slower.

I heard an elderly person say that one of the bad things about growing so old was seeing so many friends and family die. Imagine if everyone you ever knew died within ten years of you first meeting them. :hurt: If you were immortal it could become easier wishing to die unless if you fostered a very balanced mind and personality.

I wonder if:
Lulu's mother was a Gaess user and died because of it. Maybe they covered that and I totally missed it.

Well the geass are fine to be begin with, but they get more and more powerful... Eventually, When the powers get too powerful then it might make the user insane... Now if the personality fits the geass then it may not.

If C.C. was egotical /narcissistic then maybe her "to be loved" geass wouldn't make her crazy.

Love this episode! There was like 5 plot twists and 4 cliff hangers at the end of the episode!

I think Charles had gotten to the last stage that's how he can kill the code user. I don't think Lelouch has reached that geass stage since he still only has 1 eye.

I figure that if I'm immortal then eventually I would find the science needed to stop people from dying!

That would be pretty weird, but if she were a former Geass user then maybe that would explain why C.C. still seemed to be able to talk to her after she supposedly died. :^^:

I would think that someone with a stronger sense of purpose in life --- someone with an overwhelming desire to accomplish something would (all things being equal) have a better chance at mental stability and would last longer with their Geass.

And the Emperor and Lelouch certainly have those traits.

Charles could talk with Clovis so... I think Advance Geass users and Code users could talk with ordinary people like clovis.

When Lelouch gets to the next level... Why not just talk to his Mom right away? Seems like a good idea! Maybe talk to Euphy and Shirley also!

After thinking about this... Code users can talk with dead people so they'll never really lose contact with the dead.... That makes Code users wishing to die a little less believable.
