I feel bad for the cat, and the owner.

I do hope the new owner will put the cat on a diet for his health.

That owner should be held responsible not only for the unhealthy cat...but how can you just dump an animal you loved and accepted responsibility for?

Yeah, that part is still kind of a mystery. I believe she said her friend was taking the cat to a shelter. I wonder what the friend has to say about it.
