Code Geass R2 Episode #19

Post by Goldknight »

I didn't think I'd feel anything if something happened to Rolo. I figured I would be so happy the little bastard was gone, but I was actually sad. :bawl What's come over me? :bawl

gg and nightspeed versions can do the trick until eclipse is done.... and seems it's done already. :)

Yeah I watched the raw during the night and then the gg sub this morning.

I can't imagine what Lelouch will do next though.

Boy, that was a fun, heart palpitating episode. :)
Can't say I was too surprised by them going against him, but I didn't think so many of them would go against him AT THE SAME TIME.

Wow...Nina is looking even more unfavorable than she did earlier. She has the craziest facial expressions too. :nuts

Does anyone know if there's enough material for a third TV season of Code Geass to be made in the future?

I've been completely avoiding the Code Geass AnimeSuki anime threads while watching this second season.

I was wondering the same think Keropi. From the way it's heading and with only a few episodes left I wouldn't be surprised if it's wrapped up this season. Then again....you never know with all the plot twists in this series. X|

While I was watching the first season of Code Geass I read some of a possible future spoiler that leaves me unsure how long the series will last.

But in the same anime thread posters were also discussing a Code Geass alternate history/maybe doujinshi storyline. So I am quite unsure if this "possible future event" will even occur in the anime's future timeline.

This would be like a "Kara no Kyoukai" situation because "Kara no Kyoukai" takes place in a similar, but different universe from the "Fate/stay night" and "Shingetsutan Tsukihime" anime.

That's the ONLY possible spoiler that I might have known before the second season of Code Geass began.

I have to agree with you, GK. I thought I would be happy Rolo was gone too, but I did feel a bit of sadness. It is surprising they all turned on Zero so easily. Guess they all had their doubt at one time or another along the way. I really want to see him get his father. What an awful person, that is if he really is human any more.

I, too, found myself a little upset about Rolo's death. I mean, it felt like he had to die sometime, because of all that he'd done, and his inability to feel any affection for anyone aside from Lelouch, or to see how incredibly wrong some of his actions were. After all, we all have things in our past that we must fight against, though our levels of success vary. It's just a part of being human. Rolo wasn't fighting. I think that's why most of us think of him as the "little bastard."

But hey, we all love a good sacrifice, and it's hard not to feel for someone who has been treated so badly.

Actually, after watching Suzaku stare at the water in the hole for an entire day, and his eventual reaction, I'm a little afraid of what he's going to do now. It seems as though Lelouch has only one path--his father.

I'm also wondering about the whole Schniezel/Japan thing. They all seemed pretty shocked at Ougi's demand, so it makes me wonder if they really are going to honor their bargain--especially since Zero escaped. Hey, they've got the whole Black Knights leadership right there.

Also, did ya'll notice Canon's little fib? He said that Zero knew about FLEIA (or Freya, or whatever your fansubs translates it as) and went into battle anyway. The best lies are those throughly mixed in with the truth.

All in all, it's looking like it's a very good thing that Lelouch never got the chance to grant CC's wish for death. He doesn't really seem like he'll be able to stand himself for much longer.
Keropi:
Actually, I've heard that it was planned as a 50 episode series to begin with. They just couldn't get a good time slot for a series that long, so they broke it up into two.

Also, in regards to Nina, she does have the most insane expressions! Frankly, considering how she kind of got close to Eupie, maybe it's a good thing the princess died. Otherwise, she might have ended up a pleasure slave in Nina's bedroom. 8O Seriously, she seems a little off-kilter, and it wouldn't surprise me if her walls were plastered with pictures of Eupie.

Frankly, it seems as though Nina has some pschological issues associated with a tramatic experience in the past. Milly knows what happens, and she hints at it in the hoteljacking episode in season one. Nina got left behind outside the Britanian settlement, and something must have happened that has seriously affected her personality. Nina's hardly my favorite character, but she does have a reason for what she does. She needs therapy, frankly (along with Rolo and the rest of the cast, perhaps with the exception of Rivalz).

Lets see guys, let me refresh your memories a little....
- That Rolo guy killed Shirley and was trying to kill Nunally..... those 2 things alone made him deserve an slow and painful death..... but still was given an "heroic" death.

Still sad about his death?

OMG! I like Rolo now! Image It's kinda the same type of feeling I had with Suguinto of Rozen Maiden almost... After Watching Rozen Maiden Overture. Image But I still like Suguinto more...

Rolo knows that Lelouch hates him but still loves Lelouch enough to die for him. A type of pure unrequited, unconditional type of love. The reason Rolo wanted to kill Nunnaly so badly was because he knew that as soon as Lelouch had Nunnaly, Lelouch would have killed Rolo.

Lelouch should have anticipated that Rolo wasn't stable and neutralized him...

It's Lelouch that made his mistakes... with relying so heavily on Rolo even though Lelouch knows how unstable Rolo was. Lelouch should have gotten rid of Rolo or Geassed Rolo to become harmless...

Lelouch could have Geassed Rolo with "Don't kill Nunnaly or my friends" or something. Image poor shirley!

In order to out do themselves the writers will have to do alot... I'm guessing all the characters will do a 180 degree character change.

Nina might turn good to redeem herself.

Tamaki might become reliable and help Zero when he most needs it.

Orange-Kun hopefully finds Nunnaly...

CC is in bad shape without her "Goshujin-sama" I'm guessing Prince Weazel and the emperor will use her to their advantage....

Kallen might die saving her new "brother" , Lelouch. I would love to know how Kallen's brother died.

I'm hoping that Lelouch get's geass in both eyes next episode... Making it stronger so that it can target without eye contact or something...

Hopefully Suzaku redeems himself by joining Lelouch.
