Monitor Resolution

Post by HotIce »

Since this hasn't been asked since Feb. 2007... I though I'd ask again. Especially since I'm in the process of building a website, and totally revamping my RS gallery.

I've got an oldish monitor, so I'm maxed out at 1280 x 1024, but that's where I keep mine at.

1024x768 and 1280x800

Can this poll be changed so we can vote multiple times if we have multiple computers?

I don't know how to edit a poll =\

I tried to add an "other" option and i couldn't figure out how. Does a Mod need to change a poll once it's posted?

:-) I think you mean "it's" or "it is" not "its". Are you sure widescreen is?

Heh. I thought, given the extreme age of my computer, I would be one of the lowest resolutions. Turns out that most people (as of this vote) are using 1024x768.

Rei, I don't think this forum supports multiple votes.

Both of mine aren't on the list (widescreen), so:

1280 x 800 and 1440 x 900

If you're building a website, I'd still design for 1024 x 768 resolution monitors at this point, at least that's what I do. I make most of my pages a max of 900-ish pixels to prevent horizontal scrolling on lower resolution monitors (on my monitors, all of my sites look very narrow on these big wide pages :D ).

That was my plan zerospace, I just wanted to make sure that after 1.5yrs the vast majority of the monitor resolutions haven't changed., and I also thought it could help out anyone else that could be building or wondering about the sizes. =)
