Wow, this anime was was way better than I was expecting. This anime is now placed in my #1 top favorite anime along with my other #1 anime, Planet E.S. This anime had everything I wanted to see in an anime: great characters with good development, love triangles (lelouch is such a pimp, lol), awesome story with unexpected twists, mech battles, super emotional ending, etc. I liked how this anime was able to balance all of these while being able to stay focused. I knew very early on what Lelouch and Suzaku were trying to do around the end. It's crystal clear if you have been paying attention to Lelouch and Suzaku's character throughout the series and also being able to see many moves ahead. One of my goals is to make my own manga someday, so I have been writing a lot of stories, and one of the scenarios I wrote was something similar to what Lelouch did: when 2 sides are at war, each only thinks of their own, more hate leads to more hate, the only resolution is to be that 3rd party and threaten both sides to the point that they are powerless alone; the only way to beat this new 3rd threat is to join sides to beat this 3rd party. Something like that, but I will have to scratch the whole idea since Code Geass already done it (and there is no way I can beat a story like that) ![]() I knew what Lelouch was trying to do because it seemed sudden that he had a change of character, with the purpose of getting everyone to hate him. It was very sad to see him go through this plan. Lelouch is now one of my favorite anime characters in history. He is a rare type of character that would go this far to achieve a more peaceful world. I mean, really, who among us would really do what he did. His path was very harsh, very lonely, and he would die in history as the most evil person in history. No one,e xcpet those few who know of his plan, would acknowledge what he really done for the world, only to be hated in eternity. I was reading the other person's post about the theory of Lelouch's immortality and how that guy at the end driving the cart might be Lelouch. I agree with the immortality part (I didin't even think of this till I read that post), but I don't agree that Lelouch lives in the end. In fact, I think Lelouch somehow passed the immortality thing to Suzuka, which is why when Lelouch is saying his final words to Suzaku, he mentions how Suzuka will be punished by being forced to be Zero for eternity, which I think suggests Suzaku is immortal as soon as Lelouch died. Also, C.C. started crying in the church during this event; if she knew Lelouch was going to live through this, why have the tears if they are going to be together later? Also, when Nanually touched Lelouch, she saw everything of Lelouch's plan; if she knows this much, then why would she cry to that extent if she knows that Lelouch was immortal (Lelouch isn't, he died, so thus her genuine tears). I can't believe I'm saying this, but I like to believe that Lelouch is dead. The story ends a lot better this way in a tragic and yet happy way. If he's alive, then we seem to have another Steven Seagal story here, lol. ![]() I was hoping for a Lelouch x Kallen relationship. Although it seems to have ended in a stalemate, I did like all the lelouch/kallen moments and she even got to sneak in a kiss (sneaky nippon ![]() Man, what a series. I will keep and watch this series forever. There are so many Code Geass merchandise, which to get. I will get that lelouch item I mentioned in another post. If any of you get in my way, I will use my Geass on you; my geass has the power to take away your best high-quality cels. (using my geass): "Give me all your high-quality cels now!!!" ![]() |

That's because Code Geass is so good, It deserves 2 Posts!!!
Gundamx2 You can do it!!!
Be a Manga-ka!
Go ahead and start your manga... You can do some and start sending them to different publishers and see if anyone will publish it!
If you want to think like Code Geass, Just think up 4 possible outcomes, then chose the one that's most unexpected.
That's the formula.
I was very dissapointed that Lelouch can GEASS " OBEY Everything I say".
The Fact that Lelouch can Geass "OBEY ME from now on"
Makes a huge plot hole and makes the first season Laughable, because if Lelouch simply used "OBEY ME" Geass or "Be My Slave" Geass, then nothing could stop him anyways. All his special plans were inferior to using the "OBEY ME" Geass. Even his VERY First Geass was dumb. Instead of telling the enemy to kill them selves. Just Geass them with "OBEY ME". That's just a complete waste of manpower... And Unlike the personality of Lelouch.
That's the reason Code Geass will never be My Favorite Anime.
That one HUGE Plot hole.

Robo, about what you said about why Lelouch didn't use the "obey me, you are my slave from now on" command since the beginning, here are my thoughts on that: The first time he used the Geass to make the mob die by telling them to die, he was probably excited to have the new power and wanted to test it out right away, and also remember that the guy shot Suzaku and the others killed innocent japanese people. Also, if Lelouch used the obey me command on those soldiers, it might have posed problems for Lelouch's later plans to form the Black Knights. REmember that no one knew who Zero was yet or even that he was Brittanian. If he recruited those men in the beginning, it might have made Zero suspicious for having a group that was on the Brittanian side. Therefore, the best way was for Lelouch to form an army he sympathesizes with more, the japanese (since they both want to defeat brittania), and that's what he does starting with Kallen. This was neccessary to form a unified Black Knights. Around the end, things were different. Lelouch used his geass to make others his slaves because he no longer had an army(everyone was against him at that point), so he resorted to using the geass to make people his slaves. It was also necessary for the Zero Requiem plan. Now why didn't Lelouch just use the Geass and make everyone (including the Black Knights) his slaves under his command? Now, my answer to this is why I like Lelouch's character. Unlike his brother like Schneizel who wears a big fake mask and uses everyone truly as pawns to his own ends, Lelouch is not like that. It's true that Lelouch guides the Black Knights as if they were pawns, but he doesn't sacrifice them to achieve his own ends. Have you noticed that under his direction, the casualty rate is usually very low. (of course, there are exceptions, like when the Lancelot's first appearance wiped out the army Lelouch was guiding and when Lelouch left the important battle at the end of season 1 to find Nannally). However, I won't deny that, at some point, Lelouch started using more unethical methods like when he sacrificed the Japanese liberation's army's ship to ensure victory for the Black Knights. Lelouch does show vulnerabilty at many points in the series, like when he realizes that the landslide thing he made killed Shirley's father, and, how, from that point on, he would bear all the responsibility for his actions by himself. But, overall, throughout the series, he has shown the will to protect what is important to him (his sister, his Black Knights, his friends, etc.). He made many risky moves to save them at times (like when he went to save the hostages from that tall building from the liberation army). Enter Sneizel who comes in and is able to get everyone to go 360 and turn on Lelouch. Even though Lelouch has done so much for them, the trust he worked so long to achieve is crushed as fast as instant noodles. When the black knights were about to execute Lelouch, Kallen was supporting him. What does he do? He declares that he was using Kallen as she was very useful for his own ends, which got her to be sad and walk away from him so t hat she wouldn't be shot too. Then, to complete the Zero REquiem plan, he forces others to join him using geass to stop Schneizel and to complete his plan to get everyone to hate him so that his death will mark the end of war and the start of a new hopeful tomorrow. What a character. ![]() |

In the future please try to keep all your thoughts in one thread. We don't need 3 or 4 topics speculating or commenting on the end of Code Geass or any other hot topic. One is enough
