Lots of cels still for sale, Escaflowne doujinshi pics up!

Hi everyone,

I decided that now was the time to point out my sales page again, just to see if there is anything anyone is interested in. I'm going to be putting a lot of the Daa! Daa! Daa! up for sale on Ebay, trying to get it in before they start requiering Paypal ( ), but I'd still prefer to sell directly! So, feel free to offer me less than the listed price. I really want to clear these cels out, and I'm probably going to be needing the money in the near future.

Also, I am going through my Escaflowne doujinshi and getting rid of anything that's shounen-ai or yaoi. I was never really interested in this genre to begin with, but I bought a lot of them without realizing that they were shounen-ai.

I've found two so far, but I thought I had more. Pictures will be posted when I'm finished going through them all. So far, characters include Dilandau, Folken, the Dragonslayers and Jajuka (brief apperance). Some of the yaoi artwork includes Van, and he's talked about in a couple of the stories. I'm also willing to translate for an additional fee.

Description:
Story 1--Just after Migel and Zongi's death, Folken invites Dilandau into his private room to . . . "punish" him for the murder of Zongi. It's Yaoi, and rape, but all you can really see is Folken's hands. Though, you can pretty much tell what those hands are doing.

Story 2--The Dragonslayers mess around in the mess hall--just fighting, no love stuff. Gatti and Shesta get into a fight, and Dilandau catches them and locks them in adjoining cells. They talk, and come to an understanding. Could be implied shounen-ai, but I'm getting more of a brotherly vibe from the story.

Story: Dilandau comes into Folken's room and climbs into bed with him (seems to be a platonic relationship) to talk about feelings. Van is on his mind, and Folken helps him come to a bit of a realization about his true heart . . . even if he's not ready to accept that part of himself. There's also two short 4 panel comics at the end, and a page of naughty VanxDilandau drawings.

That reminds me of my one time at Nakano Broadway. I think I vaguely knew what doujinshi were at the time, and my Japanese was even more non-functional than it is today. I was looking around all the cel and bookstores, and decided to buy a bunch of doujinshi just because they had nice covers and/or were from series I knew (such as Rurouni Kenshin). Apparently, one of these stores had a lot of books "aimed at women". Some of them had nice art, but I don't understand why Kenshin never gets to "top" Sanosuke?

At least I found a few nice ones with little/no romance, including one with fantastic art that focuses on Sanosuke's past. I've since sold the rest and decided not to buy doujinshi anymore.

Good job on the Brook Halloween layout, by the way. Good colors and pictures. I hope you are doing well; it's been a long while since I last e-mailed.

Ha! Kenshin totally seems like an uke. So Sanosuke defaults to a seme.

It's funny, 'cuz it's all relative, I guess. I mean, have you ever looked for One Piece doujinshi? Probably 85% of what you see on YJ is shounen-ai or yaoi, and 90% of that is ZoroxSanji (name order apparently being important in Japanese yaoi, as the first name is always the seme, or "top"). I mean, I can't see Sanji as very "girly," but I have an even harder time seeing Zoro as feminine . . . Despite what some fans may argue, yaoi is just about giving a female personality male parts.

I'm surviving. Really need a new job--something that actually requires a college degree and pays more. Not a lot, just more than I'm making now.

I haven't really looked for OP doujin, but I know when looking at fanfic, it's impossible to escape Sanji/Zoro. I like messing with so-called name order. And what about poor Chopper? I haven't looked at fanfic much this year, but I remember I was just starting to see a few stories giving him some romantic interests. Someone over at Arlong Park forums had a Chopper X Robin avatar earlier this year.

You can cross out the word yaoi and replace it with the word most, and the statement would still be accurate.

Don't a lot of people these days! My mom was telling me about an article talking about how many people with masters degrees are applying for holiday retail jobs and the like. I'm glad you have a job and hope you find a better one soon.
