I think you mean "it's" or "it is" not "its". What makes it the best?

I second Mushishi, not shoujo romance but still very gd. For shoujo, I like Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Hatenkou Yuugi (as you can see from my avatar :) but the manga is better), Toradora.

K-dramas haf plenty of romance. I recommend My Girl...it's funny and there are lotsa eye candy hehe For J-dramas, check out Sleeping Forest, it's quite old but very gripping.

Currently I'm in the mood for BBC period dramas....waiting for Jane Eyre DVD to arrive :D

Yeah, I think duotrouble has made some very good recommendations too. My friends have also suggested the J-drama "1 Litre of Tears" so, that should be quite a good one. How about Japanese movies? I recently bought the "Koizora" (Sky of Love) DVD since my sister watched the movie and thought it was quite good. My personal favourite is "Love Letter" - the romance in it is so subtle and sweet. Hope our recommendations help and have fun watching! :)
