I'll do about half of my votes and save the remaining 3 for later...

1. Deidara from Naruto
2. Hotohori from Fushigi Yuugi
3. Itachi from Naruto
4. Kenpachi from Bleach

Meanwhile, I'll start by selling Deidara...

Deidara has quite a few good abilities and qualities, such as his quick thinking and even faster actions. He can definitely get out of a tight spot often very easily.

He is almost always seen on a clay bird of some sort in the air...

On the otherhand, he is arrogant, naive and sometimes, doesn't listen to his superiors and goes against their advice or even orders.

Might be why he had to have his arms reattached... :p

Not to mention, he gets surprised during battles when he doesn't plan ahead good. ^.^

Also, he tends to tick the people he works with off, intentionally even sometimes, as seen in this clip.

He is one of two people to get past Gaara's ultimate defence.

Still, the young artist, who talent lies in his hands, literally,

and loves to blow things sky high, needs your votes to keep him in these rounds.

Those who read the manga know his abilities and accomplishments stretch beyond what I've already mentioned, but unfortunately, I can't mention too much of that here without mentioning critical spoilers.

That seems pretty true for all the top manga characters. Here's who the top 8 manga characters were and how they are doing at this point in the anime rounds.

Urahara - Bleach = maintaining status near the top

Rally Vincent - Gunsmith Cats = holding her own in the middle

Konata - Lucky Star = eliminated a couple of rounds ago

Sasuke - Naruto = holding his own in the middle

Hanabusa Aido (Idol) - Vampire Knight = eliminated last round

Kaname - Vampire Knight = almost eliminated last round

Zero - Vampire Knight = almost eliminated last round

Kamui - X/1999 = eliminated a couple of rounds ago
