Bloopers?

Post by Penguinton »

Have you ever spotted a blooper in an anime? I've heard animators like to sneak things into shows but I've never noticed anything like that. Well except the few famous Disney ones. But I do love spotting a blooper. ^^ Although they seem to be more rare in animated films than live action shows.

I've only caught a few from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
-One of the Tolmekian airships invading the Valley of Wind is flying backwards.

-When Nausicaa is under the sea of corruption checking out how the forest ecosystem works Teto will disappear and then reappear on her shoulder.

-When the pair of Pejite women come to switch clothes with Nausicaa while shes imprisoned the women (who looks suspiciously like Ketcha from the manga) that gives Nausicaa her clothing isn't wearing a belt. But When Nausicaa is leaving the room in the women's clothing she'll be wearing a pink belt. The belt magically appears it seems.

-At the end of the film when everyone's running to greet Nausicaa after they thought she died watch the people running past Master Yupa. The same group of people will pass him twice.

So what other boo boos in anime are there? :)

I don't know if you could call it a "blooper" per say, but ...
In an episode of Gundam Wing, where Heero is disarming some missiles, there's a message on the background that reads "Intel Outside". I just always considered it to be a joke by the animators.

Digital animation shows are also notorious for errors. ^_^; Over at my forum for the Rockman.EXE (Megaman NT Warrior) series, we have 27 -pages- of animation errors, lol...

Someone on the message board I'm at noticed that the Lovely Complex characters quickly reversed positions within a split second.

(Maybe they preferred the mirror image instead?) :

For Maison Ikkoku I noticed:

1. There are several episodes where Kyoko's hair ribbon switches color. You can check for yourself in episodes 1, 22, 50, 63 and 64. Sometimes the color switches more than once.

2. In episode 35 in the restaurant. Ichinose is seen wearing her jacket. A couple seconds later she's not wearing it.

3. Episode 77 about 16 minutes into it. Kyoko's ankles are light green in color. Everyone elses ankles are flesh tone. In fact if you didn't see her slippers or pants she'd blend in perfectly with the wall behind her.

4. In episode 93 at the very beginning while Kyoko is walking Souichiro-san her skirt is dark blue. The color quickly changes to light red and then back to dark blue.

5. In episode 14 when Kyoko is at Mamezou tearing up that thing with her teeth, if you look at Kyoko's shoulder you can see the broken lines on the cel. You can also see it pretty easily on the back of her coat as she runs into Ma Maison the second time. The copying machine must not have been working well. :)

When I think of biffs I think of DBZ. There are so many. 8O I can remember a discussion on all the DBZ biffs back when beta was primarily a dbz forum. :P :rollin
