The previews for next week don't match the manga. Frankly I was getting excited since next week should be THE episode with Konohamaru's Sasuke x Sai jutsu. I'm just getting nervous because the manga is so good rignt now and plenty far ahead of the series. I don't see a reason for yet another stupid filler.

You know, I watched episode 88 a couple of days ago and I can't even remember what the next episode is supposed to be about. Old age is doing something to the memory banks.
I was thinking the same thing when I watched episode 89. >_<
First off - Gah! They only gave us 2 seconds of SASUKE! OK, back on track. The chick that Kabuto went to get at the end is not in the manga, right? I may have to go back and check to be sure, but I don't remember orochimaru talking about that woman.

No I don't think I can do take my word for it you.

The manga goes to Sasuke training in a pit with Orochimaru watching him. Sasuke defeats like a hundred guys and Orochimaru comments that he didn't kill any of them. It then cuts to Orochimaru in his room and getting ambushed by Sasuke.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

It is filler mode!!!! And not only that....they completely left out the Sasuke x Sai jutsu that Konohamaru does. They did the other girl x girl jutsu, but then skipped right past the good one. Damnit!!!!!!!

Mmm... I haven't seen this yet episode yet, but two weeks ago they annouced the filler arc at the end of the last arc's episode.
The problem with this one to me is...
that is covers some manga events like Orochimaru and Sasuke's discussions and training, and Deidara and Tobi catching the Three-tails, which this is actually, apparently, an expansion on...
It seems a bit unnessicary to me, but I'm far more upset at how they just casually destroyed the timeline of events.
And no, you're definitely correct Goldknight, the only female I remember around Orochimaru in Shippuden is Karin, and she shouldn't be introduced for awhile.
Yep! I thought so. Karin shouldn't show up until after the Sasuke/Orochimaru thing. And now in this filler:
Naruto has disappeared with Jiraiya to train which didn't happen at all in the manga. Are they going to toss in yet another jutsu now or is he going to return after the filler is over having learned absolutely nothing?
