Nope, not at all. I started out about 5 years ago concentrating mostly on cels of a busty nature. I have since grown up a bit and begun collecting traditional art of a busty nature.

my main focus is and always was the last unicorn. but, since those cels are either incredibly rare or just plain expensive, i began to branch out. so now i collect a few other uni's and then some.

i'm true to my roots. 8)

Yes and no. :D

I started collecting just DBZ, IY, and Trigun. Then DBZ kind of fell off for me, and I started to collect anything and everything for way too long. I now stay pretty focused on a few series. I really don't collect IY anymore, but it's always hard to resist a good Miroku cel.

Trigun is my only tie to my roots. Naruto and FMP took over for DBZ and IY.

I originally started collecting IY when it first came out, which was 9 years ago (also when I started collecting cels). It has been over a year since I have purchased an Anime cel, but that was from IY. So, in a way, I did stay to my roots for the most part. But, I think, within the past 2 years, I most likely "found" my roots if you know what I mean. I grew up with Disney and Warner brothers, and didn't even consider collecting from them because of how expensive they are. But, now, I am quite happy just buying 2 nice cels a year, and keeping things at a minimum.

I can't have any roots because it's only possible to collect from 1 of the 3 series that are extra special to me

But other than that, I really love the direction I've gone in when it comes to cels. I do sometimes go off the rails and buy something just because it's cute and cheap (normally during a dry spell of good Nadia cels  )

I quite like that though, cuz often they're cels from anime I haven't seen and sometimes then goes on to become a fast favourite - Giant Robo springs to mind and I'm so grateful I never missed out on that series :D

I have been extremely true to my roots, but that was mostly due to industry changes and not my own dedication. Kenshin and Fushigi Yuugi were the shows that got me into collecting, and until the end remained the ones that kept me there (although it was rare for anything to really catch my attention).

The one series that was added much later than the original ones but I really dove into, was Hunter X Hunter, and at a time when my interest in cel collecting had waned almost completely, this show brought me back in. Thank you Hisoka and Killua too a bit!

The reason I remained so true to my roots, was simply the industry shift from cels to CG shows. I have always been entranced by 'production art,' owning an actual piece of the show, so Relizu cels, which to me seem to just be a smart idea to grab collectors' money, have never been appealing. I kept thinking I might get into sketch collecting, but it just never grabbed me at all. I am just too acetate-and-paint cel-oriented.

Had shows continued to be made wth cels, I am 100% sure I would have expanded my interests a great deal more. Shows like Naruto, Vampire Knight, Fruits Basket, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Tenjou Tenge, Tsubasa RC and others would have definitely had me shelling out oodles of money, although I think I would have still been just as dedicated to my original shows.

Cheers,
Remi ^_^

I started collecting Kenshin x Kaoru cels from Seisouhen since I first time saw kissing cel. Then fortunately I got my pretty much first kxk kissing cel within one month (seriously I think it was a miracle!) After this this hobby becomes like a drag addiction! X|

I have been always true to my root as you know :) Sometimes I collect some random cels but my main interests are KxK cels Seisouhen.....

Since I got my ultimate cel (and ultimate in terms of $$$ as well :hurt: ) I might slow down a bit (and also we bought a house as well....). But still my root is always KxK cels from Seisouhen :) :)

I've stayed on track for the most part. But I started out as a general buyer of portraiture from the beginning. I fell off the portrait wagon for series such as Gallery Fake, Kino no Tabi, Ouran and Rahxephon because I enjoy those series and had rare purchasing opportunities.

I used to purchase mystery faces, but no longer choose shows I haven't watched.
