Shaken and depressed - The Cheer Me Please Thread!
This Friday has not started auspiciously for me; thankfully, it's nothing BIG (if you know what I mean). But, here I am at nine in the morning, feeling enormously bummed anyway. I really need a pick-me-up in the worst way!
Seven years ago, I caused a minor accident in my fall-apart car at the offramp of I-70 and Denver West Parkway. It was one of the worst mornings of my life and, knock on wood!, remains the only accident I have ever caused.
Today karma repaid me. Someone ran into me in that same place. Not a very reassuring cosmic happening.
The car I'm driving now was bought new (yeah, don't say it - I ADORE my car) because a drunk driver killed the last one when she decided to run a red light and slammed into me. I've christened the new car Bahamut - he's silver and looks like a squat little dragon, and I needed all the luck dragons inherently carry after that last, car-killing accident (incidentally, that dead car, Yuffie, did not have ninja-like reflexes!!). In the year and some weeks I've owned Bahamut, I've managed to avoid even door-dings. I guess I'm too proud of/happy with my car, because I'm sure that's what sparked the karma-crunch.
I let the guy who ran into me go. We both got out in the pre-dawn dark and inspected our cars - his license plate looks like it got chewed on - hah! Don't mess with dragons. But Bahamut's bumper is scarred a little: two screw-shaped puckers in the paint from his licence plate frame.
It could have been bad. It really could have. But I cried at the scars anyway. Sometimes, it's the tiny things that are really oppressive.
Please don't think too harshly of me. Some might say I'm overreacting. I think those that know me understand my temperament; and, honestly, I'm blaming this one on progesterone. It doesn't take much to make the average pregger-saur cry, and I think I've been very good in the tears department for the last six months.
Anyway, I need some cheerful thoughts. If you're bored or compassionate, show me something fun! Videos, pictures, or anecdotes - I'll be grateful for any of it.

Well, if the dolls don't squick you out...
I've been collecting the dolls for over two years now, and I've just this month finally gotten a female. She's a little one, so far too young for these boys, but... well... you'll see.
(Yes, that's Kon from Bleach, except my Kon is a sadistic perv.
And Vanhi there didn't have her face painted on yet when I did this shoot, this was her entrance.)
Kon: Hey! Guys! Come see this!!

Kon: I asked aernath to get us some bare belly eye candy, and SHE DID!

Chandan: *WHOOSH*
Hmm... nice breasts too!

Ardit: *WHOOSH*
Hmm... yesss...
Kon: I never figured you for a breast man...

chandan: You just asked for bare belly and got it, hu?
Think you can see your way to asking for a nice girl to live here?

Vanhi: Hey! ~I'M~ a nice girl! And I live here now!

Vanhi: Am I what you're looking for?

Chandan: *cough* Um... you're far too young--
Kon: Now, wait a minute--
Ardit: *to Kon* Now, wait a minute--!

Vanhi: What does SHE have, that ~I~ don't?!

Chandan: Um... *cough*
Kon: Big, huge, honking hoot--
Ardit: I said now wait a minute!

Ananth: *snatches Vanhi up*
we need to go have a talk...
Vanhi: No! Wait! Aaarrrggghhh!!!

Kon: So, really. What do you guys think?
All this time asking aernath for a GIRL, and we apparently got exactly what we asked for.
Chandan: Yeah, so this time we ask for a woman!
Ardit: Guys, I don't know... we probably better be specific, or she'll make us regret it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will the boys ever get a beautiful woman?
Will they ever learn?
Stay Tuned!!!
Naw. Not bloody likely. ~_^
You guys are marvelous! It has been a crazy, hellish day, but I grinned (and laughed out loud at all those youtube clips, and went AWWWW once - thanks, JWR!) through this whole thread. I really appreciate it!
(aernath, special one for you - I thought I was going to die laughing reading that. You are too creative! I'm impressed!)
(yoshito, special one for you too - I need a great big fish like that. I would love to smack someone upside the head with it.
More?
The only background needed for this one, is that Mouse has a girlfriend in Alaska named Kasidi.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, Vanhi is the first permanent female resident of the ranch, and I was woefully unprepared for a girl to stay.
I bought a couple of dresses, but found out one important thing that girls really do need, that boys don't really: pantsu.
So, one of my best buds, hobbywhelmed, sent me a care package (and Christmas present!!!! TY!), stuffed with clothes for Vanhi.
This story was totally unplanned... it just... happened.
And sometimes, that turns out for the best! XD I had so much fun, I just had to share this little romp.
Enjoy!
(And big thanks to hobby!)
Oh, and PS - Seriously, Billy, use your words, man. >.>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vanhi: Wow! All this just for me?? *dons hat*
Hyde: Panties?! You won't be needing these! *toss*
Vanhi: Don't make me smack you!
Vole: SWEET! We got matching guitars!
Mouse: No, we can't play "dueling banjos" now.
Vole: Are you sure?!
DeederDEE der Dee der Dee der Deen!
Vanhi: Cool! The perfect shirt to go with those guitars!
"I'm with the band!"
*dances while the boys play*
*starts to sing incoherent babble*
Ooo, oh, that's the story, bloop da beep da dough green reeeeeal, tonight!
Dooon't need a knife--
Vole: Vanhi, what are you singing?
Vanhi: Billy Idol's "Don't Need A Gun"!
Isn't that what you're playing?
Vole: Um. No.
Mouse: *mutters* Our first fan.
Vanhi: *drapes herself around Mouse and turns on the charm*
Did you know you look just like Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues?
Mouse: Um... no.
Vole: DUUUUDE! I'm telling Kasidi!
Hyde: VANHI!!! Aaarrrgghh!!!
Hyde: *grabs Vanhi and starts to drag her away*
Stop it! No more free concerts for you!
Vanhi: SQUEEEE!! I love you, Justiiiiiin!!!
Vole: Your first rabid, clueless fan.
Mouse: *sigh* Alaska's looking better every day...
Hyde: You settled down yet?
Vanhi: It's all right HydeLove. I won't leave you for the band.
