Kyou Kara Maou confusion

I know we've talked about this before but I was hoping someone has updated information.

In my attempts to ease the pain of waiting forever for the next fansub of KKM3 to come out, I decided to watch some AMVs of KKM. Well, that caused me to want to rewatch the first season, which we all know is licenced. I want to buy them on DVD but there was the whole Geneon mess. And I know Funimation has picked it up. Did Funi just start where Geneon left off?

I want to buy season boxsets because I know I want the whole thing and don't want to waste my money buying the individual DVDs and put them in an artbox. So do I need to buy Geneon's season boxset or will a new one come out?

If anyone can help answer those questions, I would very much appreciate it. And the rabid fangirl in me dying for my KKM goodness will squee very loudly (out of earshot).

Nothing yet for season 2. At least the final 3 dvds are finally out. A box set for season 2 can't be too far away.

Yeah, I saw that at rightstuf, which is how my confusion started. (Funi's site directed me there.) It is the cheapest place I've found but it doesn't answer my question. Is that going to be the only boxset or will Funi come out with a new one?

I haven't heard anything about a boxset for season 2, just seen the remaining individual discs.

I hope they do a boxset for it though after the final disc is released, since I don't have any of season 2. Funi looks to be doing either remaining discs for series where a fair share had already been released, but where only a couple discs had been released (like Saiunkoku), boxsets.

Also, rightstuf has the season 1 boxset on sale fairly often for $80, if you want to wait around a bit for a cheaper price.

Okay, I think I'll just force myself to wait a little longer. It's really annoying because I love that series so much. I want to watch it over and over again. I rewatched the end last night. I forgot how much my heart broke the first half and how much I LMAO the second half.

I need to finish D.Gray-man first anyway.

True about the sales. There should always be another sale eventually. You can also keep an eye on the bargain bin for the individual dvds when the box sets are out.

Don't mean to highjack the thread, but do you guys happen to know if the newest Saiunkoku releases have been redubbed?
I watch dubs so I can do other things while they play on the TV, but the Saiunkoku dub (as much as I love the show) was just appalling! Most, if they are bad they are generally tolerable, not Saiunkoku.

No clue, sorry. I usually watch everything subbed, but did rewatch SkM over the holiday dubbed with the mom. I didn't realize that was worse than normal.

OMG - the KKM dub was awful though - I hate Conrad's dub! I was happy my mom wasn't into it that much just so I wouldn't have to listen anymore.

Nope, I haven't bought them yet. This is the first time my computer has been on all week. I'm really happy too that KKM 3 ep. 33 came out this week.

All right! That didn't make my day at all.

After taking the time to dl it, I watched a minute of it. I didn't have time to watch the whole thing because I needed to leave but I really wanted to see the first minute. Then I scanned through the episode. Yeah, it was episode 32 mistakenly labeled as episode 33. (unless I'm off by an episode) So long story short, I don't think it's out yet but maybe that means it'll come out tomorrow.

And of course, I had to watch the scene that's in my sig again. That gives me such a good laugh.
