I hope you get better.

I've had the flu all week and my throat has been a mess. My sister came by and brought some cough medicine that she was prescribed back when she had this "yuck". She called is liquid crack.

She wasn't kidding.

I took some for the first time last night and I slept for 11 hours.

I never do that. My whole body this morning feels like moosh. Hang in there Gonzai. Ssi is sending you good vibes.

It's been a really exciting race, hasn't it? I think that regardless of how you feel about either character, only in anime could you have a race for a favorite character be a female futuristic cyborg against a male ancient ghost. Pretty cool, no?

I just am amazed at how hard Sai and everyone has been
working to get Sai so many votes.

And frankly, we are happily surprised at how many votes
we have.

But ever since Sai first appeared in this competition

He has been determined to win!!

Now go vote for Sai!!!

Wow, almost done!

Congrats to Sai & Motoko, Gonzai & Hotice!

School started this week so I didn't have any time for selling.

It's been fun seeing the many interesting pictures throughout the week! And KP & GK did an awesome job of selling Sai! :yourock:

And Gonzai representing Sai with pneumonia! You go girl!

I hope you feel better soon Gonzai. Get lots of rest and fluids!

First I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has voted for Motoko, and redwolf, robo, Penguinton, Kero, MidniteKitten, ducky, buma, and kata for their help in promoting! I couldn't have gotten this far with out all your help! Whatever happens, I'm proud of Motoko for making it so far! I would also like to thank Gonzai, and her helpers (and Sai) for putting up such a good fight, and making this such an exciting event! Best of luck! Lastly I huge thank you to DT for organizing this event!

Again I want to apologize to everyone for me not being able to be around, especially Sunday. I had family stuff, I was able to check the progress via my cel phone... but I didn't have time to reply.

Well, I've said that Motoko is strong, beautiful, a confident leader, can kick some serious butt, knows how to handle a weapon and herself, she has cool toys... and yeah, you've all heard it before.... but they are all valid reasons why Motoko deserves to be #1! She's just simply amazing!

Were so excited that its such a close race!! Thanks for everyone's support!

Now look deeply into Sai's eye's, and we're sure you'll be convinced

That Sai is a great all around character, and you should cast your vote for him!!

I am blown away by all the hard work from everyone. All the people
who supported and promoted Sai, as well as all the people who
supported and promted Kusanagi. You guys were all great!!

I wanted to do a special shout out to Kathpatty, Liana, and Goldknight

Sai this time around!!

Congratulations to Hotice!! Looks like you chose a wonderful
all around character to promote!! They certainly do seem to

Thanks to everyone who participated, especially the creator of the contest, duotrouble. I had a lot of fun looking at other people's comments and creativity (sparkles or no

) and using my rusty photoshop editing skills. I wanted to try a Motoko only image edit, but only got some awesome screenshots this morning. However, I now have some motivation to try finishing Stand Alone Complex eventually. It looks like other people have noticed shows they might try as well, whether their representative characters made it far or not. Part of my motivation for supporting Motoko was that the GitS: SAC designs are similar to Moribito's, one of those shows I hope some try out (even though Adult Swim is giving the show the short end of the stick--dropping it after multiple poor schedule decisions).

And OMG! We have a tie! That's awesome! I think it just shows what great characters both of them are. Congrats to both Mokoto and Sai for receiving exactly 49 votes each!

Being the slacker that I've been lately, you'll have to wait for the trophies. I didn't get around making them as I was waiting for the end. Sadly, I don't have the time now but maybe I'll be able to post them later tonight or definitely tommorrow.

Excuse me Gonzai,
you may want to check that total again. I believe it's a tie. Whoever was sneaky enough to slip in that last vote for Motoko, I was sneakier with my vote for Sai -
