Hear, hear! :cheers

What makes my collection endearing to me is the fact that I have one of the largest Gokudo collections in RS (54 and counting). There are a few private galleries that have outshone me, but I'll catch up to 'em soon enough!

I also take the painstaking time to get screencaps and episode info for all of them; not just my Gokudo, but for my IY and YYH cels as well.

I guess it would be that I have the largest backgrounds only section.

I don't have anything special that stands out, but I'm happy with my goodies. :)

my gallery is unicorn-themed, which i think sets it apart. i was out to lunch with some colleagues, and the subject of cels and the last unicorn came up. i tested the waters and mentioned my rubberslug gallery. i was shocked and amazed when they had not only seen my gallery, but visit it regularly. 8O

Hmmm... I feel very in tune with my collection now. I know what it is that I would like down the road... My impulse buys are down to a minimum but it doesn't really help as I've managed to up the standards of my collecting habits. :)

What sets my collection apart is...

1) Rurouni Kenshin's Saitou... I do believe he makes my gallery so special. Currently I have 32 production cels of him, which might seem like a low number but when I started out I didn't think it was possible to acquire more than 3 pieces. I put a lot of effort in acquiring them so each piece is very special to me. I fear the day when I won't see a cel of him for sale and to be honest I don't think I've seen one really for sale the past year or so. I think if I give up collecting Saitou I might have to give up cel collecting all together. Okay I'll stop talking about him... moving on. :D

2) Shinsengumi - I have a decent collection of Shinsengumi related artwork. The Shinsengumi is popular enough to appear in several different anime in some shape or form and it's been fun for me to seek them out. Of course there's the more obvious like Peace Maker Kurogane and Rurouni Kenshin, but I also have Shinsengumi from non-Shinsengumi centered shows. *cough* A good japanese friend even sent me Kuno dressed as a Shinsengumi, who would've thought Ranma 1/2 would have them??? LOL. Oh and in Uchuu Senkan Yamato, quite a few characters were named after Shinsengumi folks. Now if only I can find artwork from the otamate games, I'd be in heaven. :l

3) My gallery prominently features the late Tadao Nagahama's Robot Romance Trilogy. I'm quite certain before the opening of my gallery back in 2006, only a few (if any) knew of this Robot Trilogy, much less "the Emperor's" (Tadao Nagahama's nickname due to his "passionate" directing, much like Akira Kurosawa) contribution to the super robot and real robot genre. Although the cels certainly show their age, I do not mind it at all since my love for anything mecha and anime certainly started with Voltes V and Daimos (I watched Combattler more recently). I do feel that due to age this part of my gallery is rather looked over, as the art isn't as familiar and the colors more primary. But in comparison to mecha shows during it's time I see a lot of care put into the animation, the voice acting and presentation of the story. In the few countries where it was shown, it was always well received even gaining the status of legend in select countries. I for one love Daimos so much that I'm attempting to sub even if inaccurately on youtube. :^^:

.....Yeah...When I go around scanning some stuff in, I can probably fill in the what sets apart my collection is: ____.....
For sure (to my knowledge) I have the biggest Digimon collection....(Well, I will when I add it XD)
Currently it's about: 250 sketches...but there are like 25 cuts...or maybe 20...Around there....
------------
I'll answer it better when I add my other series...
So yes....My horde Pile is too overwhelming...but then again, the pile is like 1 year old....that I have not gotten around to adding....
---------------------------
To summarize...I guess you can say that what sets my collection apart is the utter randomness....If it looks pretty I will add it...
--------------------------
Knock on Wood...that someone does not goes after me....

There's nothing unusual about the series/ characters I collect, I pretty much like the same thing as everyone else. The only thing I can think of is that I like matching production bgs and abt 2/3 of my cels come with those (It helps that series like Ranma often come with bgs). :)

There really isn't anything that makes my gallery stand out in anyway. Only that its mine, and I love it. If my puddle shaped thumbnails count as part of what sets it apart, I guess that could count. :P

Someone suggested I animate all my Bleach sketches and run MY version of Bleach - Ichigocentrified. :bny :bny :bny

Start uploading NOW  :P . But I'm no better :^^: .

A few things set my collection apart. For starters, I'm currently the only person who has a public collection of production art from the Oban Star Racers series. Also, I think I'm the only person who wants their DBZ collection to focus on the character Uub :P .

You forgot, you also have the largest "BeyBlade" collection....
