Don't you hate this!!!? Gahhhh!

So I'm browsing through the adult section of cels on YHJ when my heart almost stops. Its there......again. My #1 wishlist cel, its there. I click on it thinking it can't be real...one just surfaced, it doesn't make sense. But the page loads and it's real. She's sitting there. I almost want to cry because at least last time I had hope, I had a fair amount of money. But now? I have 3$ to my spendable name and now there's not even hope. Ill have to watch someone else fight over her T^T. This seems so unfair. So my question is, have you ever had to watch your wishlist float away or been disappointed because it pops up when you have no money? If so, what did you do to cope?
(Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I just figured since it dealt with wishlist items it belonged here)

Happens to the best of us. My rule of thumb is to stop looking when I have completely run out of funds. Easier said than done but your not missing what you're not seeing.

That's definitely a good rule, just so hard to follow. Sometimes I'm looking just to see what's popped, see if someone else catches it so I can visit it, but when stuff like this happens I wish I'd definitely only look when I have the funds to

I have never had to watch a wishlist pass me by multiple times. The hardest thing that ever happened to me was when I didn't have enough credit with my deputy services to bid when TWO wishlist cels appeared at once. I could only choose one. The cel I couldn't bid on went to a Japanese buyer and I've never seen it again. :l

(I have since increased my limit with both my deputies to ridiculous levels)

I feel your pain all too well.

Each instance for me comes after a period of reckless spending. I will purchase much of the smaller things, then there it is.....a wishlister.

What if?

What if?

Can't let it get to you though.....destiny must be leading another way.....

I remember that happening to ya ReiTheJelly, I think you posted about it here. I'm so glad that Kite cels don't pop up in multiples all too often so I don't have to risk seeing 2.

And Belldandy16 I do hope so, there is one I secretly want more than this one of Sawa poking Oburi on the nose but unless that one pops up this suckers got my wallet/heart. Thanks for your consolation though!

EternalSquall that hit so close to home. I just bought about 6 cels this past week and all that money together could have potentially been this one and I'm bashing myself over it. Lol.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. Seems like we've all had some kind of experience now and then. On a positive note I'm attempting to sell my Sailor Moon Neo Queen Serenity Crown RPG Toy which I know is worth a hefty penny, so hopefully I may still be in the running for this cel.

If it's the same cel I'm thinking of, that cel has been sitting there for months.

I don't think so. It's a 300 edition hanken repro of the DVD cover from Kite. I saw one pop up a while ago and now resides in Krafty's cel gallery. This one just popped and I'm looking to finally get one myself. Though I'd love to see the one your referring to as I may be getting some money. Thank you!

It's rare to see original Mezzo Setups not be snagged fast either. It seems Ziggy may have retired.

Ziggy? As for the Mezzo setups I was thinking the same thing myself, alot of them are just ending with no bids and there at decent prices. Hell I got one of Mikura and Momomi holding a gun plus an extra Mezzo for 3,500 yen. That was damn cheap even with shipping.

Oh okay. I see what you mean. I hadn't started my YJ search today so I hadn't seen it yet. I just got home from work. I don't see that other cel there now. Figures.

I guess over time I've learned to browse when I have funds and look for the best items I can get with what I have. It's Lent, and anyhow funds that in previous years went to "May Madness" savings funds now are going toward easing the transition when I move from salary to retirement. So I'm not browsing auctions at all. "Wishlists" may appear and disappear this month; I'm not aware. But I'm happy that when I was solvent and had money to set aside, I learned to use it wisely, in focused bursts of spending.
