i just have to give a shout out to "hero: 108", one of a few shows i am lucky to work on recently. it's a brand new cartoon network series, created by phoenix tarng (of gamania tawain), based on a chinese novel "the water margin". in china's hidden kingdon, there is war between humans and animals, and the first squad of 108 warriors have set out to settle the conflict. the show is exec produced by suzanne berman of cn and rita street, my producer at radar cartoons, to name a few. each episode is told in a two-part 11-minutes. i think it's a very new type of show for cartoon network. the artwork reminds of me of samurai jack meets 8bit, if you can imagine that, and i seem to be favoring lin chung's character. this is probably because i have to stare at him for hours at a time, but hey i'm not complaining. it's a flash animated series. although i am not the biggest fan of flash, the humor is very smart and so the writing more than makes up for it. i entered the premiere trailer into ikkicon, where it went over very well and would love to hear from anyone who saw it there. i wish i was allowed to show you artwork or tell you more, but please bookmark the website for now. the site launches in april where we'll be posting games, clips, screen grabs, and more. just a side note, the trailer that is currently up is out of date and scratch audio but it gets the point across.
anyways, i am proud to bring this show to anyone's attention and i hope that the more hype we get, the better the chances of another season. so please, keep an eye out, and watch it when it airs in the spring!
