I lost a friend

Post by Xelloss »

I had a friend and coworker who had a seizure and died this past weekend and found out today when we figured out why he didn't come to work. He was about my age, so fairly young. I worked with him daily and often caught up with him outside of work. I miss him greatly and my heart goes out to his family.

What's really sad is that he had lived his whole life in fear of this happening, as he had a history of past episodes. Life really just isn't fair.

Karen , I am so sorry to hear that you lost your friend like that.
It is never an easy thing to go thru. /sry

Today's been rough... I've had the task of tracking down his other friends in the company and telling them in person. I'm not sure how many more tears I can handle. A group of us would hang out by the coffee pot and do crossword puzzles and such while waiting for our machines to do stuff. He was usually the one who brought the puzzles in. I also saw him outside work a lot too, and am trying to reach some of those people as well.

I know someone on rubberslug posted about death of people online recently. I think that those in the know would try as hard as they can to track people down and let them know.

As someone who personally deals with Epilepsy and lives in that same fear my heart honestly goes out to you and your friend. I do hope soon your tears can be replaced by smiles as he no longer need suffer these dreaful things. It's hard to lose a friend, especially those whom make even the most minute of impacts on our lives. If you need anything I'm sure all of Beta is here for you
