Marriage Partner Poll

There's a listing on MAL of the popularity of anime characters as a marriage partner. I think there are some odd choices there.

Just for fun, who would you choose?

My choice would be Wakana Ayasaki of Sentimental Journey anime and Sentimental Graffti 1 and 2 game. She was raised as an ojousama by a strict grandfather, but after High School she moved away escaping his influence. She's very kind, polite and down-to-earth. She's my second favorite character to appear in an anime. Plus she has long black hair.

I do agree with the choice of Toushiro and Ichigo, they seem mature beyond their years and would take gd care of their other halves

Nice guys do finish last, with a few exceptions The list seems to be bad boy filled, though I don't actually know enough of the female characters to say whether the guys are doing anything similar

I'd have to say Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman Reborn if I were to go with one of those listed. Loyal, sweet, fiercly protective, and kinda goofy what's not to love?

Outside of the list I'd say Yukimi from Nabari no Ou. A character with a bit of a past who despite acting a bit cold, is really a big sweetie who serves lemonade. That and he does a little photography on the side, which I find adorable (though that could totally be because I was never really much of a photographer )

Yeah, that's not a very comprehensive list. It's mostly characters from newer shows, so I'm inclined to think it is more a fangirl/fanboy character popularity contest, rather than looking at who would realistically make the best spouse.

I don't recognise most of the women in there either crackpot, so I can only comment on a couple in that list. Firstly Asuka from eva would suck as a wife, Misato would be much better. She's strong and capable, though with a certain fragility that makes her much more interesting then the eratic and rather irksome Asuka. So I guess Asuka would count for the male masochists out there.

In terms of Bleach well Rukia is a sensible choice, but to be honest there's so many more interesting possibilities. Matsumoto for her erm physical properties and

Yoruichi post cat transformation obviously

on the domineering side, but with a caring sensible streek to balance it out.

Most of the choices on that list though seem a trifle on the young side for marriage though.

Well, I certainly didn't participate in that since I only know the Bleach characters, male & female. I haven't seen the other series so I have no comment. So my choice is Athrun Zala. Yeah, I know he's not on the list but I'm currently rewatching Gundam Seed and he's everything I'd want and more.

According to the limited poll though, I'd pick Toushiro from Bleach.
