New Secret of NIMH Wishlist

I've added another wishlist cel to my collection! This one is from the climax of the Secret of NIMH, when Mrs. Brisby uses The Stone to save her house (and family) from sinking in the mud.

The Wonderful World of Animation Art Gallery helped me find a cel from the EXACT moment that I wanted. I sent them a screencap and they sent me scans of cels back that matched. They were great to work with - I highly recommend them.

I'd seen that shot a few times and always remarked how wonderful it was. It's just absolutely perfect. I also enjoyed seeing all your other NIMH cels, especially the one of Ms. Brisby inspecting the stone. Awesome acquisition!

Thanks MidnightKitten! Secret of NIMH is my favorite western animated feature.

BTW there are some great Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island cels on Ebay right now for cheap (I know you posted awhile back saying you were looking for some).

I also like The secret of Nihm and the other films from Don BLUTH. (mainely an american tail)

Thanks ITAF! You have some nice production art from The Secret of NIMH too! I like the drawing of Mrs. Brisby lying on the ground in exhaustion after moving her house with the stone.

Congratulations: I know it is a wonderful feeling to have "exactly that" cel in your possession, especially if it captures a moment very dear to you. This film is one I watched many times with my daughter after it came out on VHS, and it is truly a magical film, one that takes the interesting elements of the original book and (a real rarity) makes the plot stronger and more focused. Those are fantastic! I love that closeup of Auntie Shrew! I think its hard to find good cels of her.
