If a marker illustration is not signed, is it allowed to add the artist name at the bottom of the picture ?

I have a question: What exactly is the email address attached to our Anime-Beta account needed for? (as specified in the submission process) If we're emailing submissions, won't you have our email addresses anyways?

No. That would be image modification (please see the rules on page 1). Plus, the Anime-Beta awards aren't always about artist recognition. Pieces in this category are often judged just on the image.

Could you please explain what "for safety purposes only" means with regards to the email address?

Thanks.

I also wonder how that's going to be a safety. You can only see the e-mail address if the user has the e-mail marked as public in the profile. There's no way the admins would provide them with the registered e-mail address of the participants.

Also, in my case, the e-mail address registered on my profile is an invented address that never existed to begin with. In the past the e-mail was not used to verify accounts and I didn't like to enter my real e-mail address everywhere.

Thanks for the answer. I readed carefully your note, and just asked about this modification due to a non signed art. Entries on the way, photography time :D

We would like to thank everybody for their participation so far :). We also want to confirm that once a submission has been reviewed and accepted, a confirmation email will be sent to the participant.

We're asking people for their email address so that we can ask a Beta admin to cross reference it only if there is a problem, i.e. - if it appears someone is submitting under an account name that isn't theirs. We would never ask the admin to provide us with that information.

We're not expecting any problems this year, but we'd like to be prepared in the event of a problem. It was the best we could come up with on short notice. If this becomes a concern, we can certainly change our approach. ^__^

We would like to ask everyone to please re-read the submission rules before sending in their images.

We have begun reviewing submissions and have noticed that several people have sent images that are not sized properly.
The maximum width for all standard size cels or artwork is 450 pixels. Pan or oversized cels or artwork may not exceed 600 pixels on the longest side. You may submit artwork that is less than the maximum pixel size, however, anything larger than the maximum pixel size will be resized accordingly. Regardless of the size of the item, the total file size can not exceed 300k.
Thanks!

Your images have already been resized. The bill is in the mail. :D

We did receive several images that were larger than allowed and they have all been re-sized to the proper dimensions.
