Thanks for all the well-wishes. I wish it wasn't under such circumstances that I get a chance to talk to most of you, but I really do care about the site on a personal level because I have a long-standing irritation with the concept of it being far easier to break something than build something. Not just in tech but in everything. What's worse is that our society has too short an attention span to celebrate the process of creation. We watch the 1-minute fast-forwarded YouTube version of creation or laugh when Simon Cowell tears some kid down (and continues to pad his music-based fortune despite zero actual musical talent) and we move on.

To make a long story short, people who kick over a part of our sand castle just makes me want to build us a bigger, better one.

All of you young people out there, don't get cynical. If you think things like Rubberslug are cool (er, aside from the virus dropping nonsense), start today on building something you care about. Build a virtual gallery. Knit a scarf. Train a pet a new trick. Go jogging for a half hour. Start small. Don't sweat the mistakes. Don't let the haters get you down. Building > breaking.

Okay, morning mini-rant done. Almost fixed!
VERY well said, Jason! :) I totally agree. It's pretty sad that you have to worry so much about building an impenetrable web site, rather than just build a site that works and works efficiently, at that.

Hopefully you don't mind me mentioning this here, but I hope to see you implement that pretty preview of the "new" Rubberslug that you sent me a month or two ago. It looked awesome. :D

I'm glad I looked at this because I was at work all night thinking I was on crack because I could not figure out what was going on and thinking it was my work computer screwing with me. That's what a 16 hour shift will do to you :coffee: . Thanks Jason. Keep up the good work :bubbles

Working again. I've set up some clever tracking mechanisms so that if anything else goes wrong, I should be able to track the problem down better.

Everyone should take this opportunity to remember that Rubberslug needs lots of "THINGS" as well as our good will and support.

Remember to donate when you can to help make it all possible. 8)

Thank you Jason! :bow2:

Like Glorff, I haven't updated for a long time, so I just get the pleasure of seeing all the RS great stuff again! :D

I did notice one thing, though. In the "Artwork" part of search. Some of the newer images that showed up before the "crash" don't show up now...
Is that temporary?

I will also be following suite with Nat.R. I have yet to donate to Jason and after everything I heard you are going through and I just want to help in the effort. Good Luck Jason, thanks for making RS what it is today.

Jason, you are a dead set Star. If ever I am fortunate/lucky enough to discover a 'new' star in space, rather than naming it with some 'Duck' euphemism - I would name it something along the lines of "Jay-R.slug"............or something equally momentous :)

Seriously, well said. The world would be a much better & efficient place if more people had your attitude Jason, but that is a debate for another topic!!
Never look back, but always forward & keep your head held high.
The next time I am state-side for Business, I would be honoured to shout you to a Beer.....................or six. That is the highest honour us Aussies can bestow upon a mate.

It looks like RS is having some issues again and will not allow you to upload any images. Here's the error message I received at approximately 1200 PST-

Persits.Upload.1 error '800a0005'

There is not enough space on the disk.

/member/inv_image_p.asp, line 43

I tried to post it in the forum, but then I got this message -

error '80070070'

/board/post_p.asp, line 124

Is anyone else having this problem?

I was able to add some site graphics as recently as yesterday, athough it wouldn't let me delete a subpage banner when I uploaded something by mistake. I was only able to re-upload something new, not remove having a banner. Haven't tried anything today though.

Me too, though I can directly access my gallery and "My Account" and can still make minor changes in my listings (I'm still catching up on the missing titles). IIRC, there's some periodic cache-emptying that Jason has to do every so often, and once this is done RS will be back.
