My upcoming trip to France!

Post by Gonzai »

Ok, so I have been thinking about where to take vacation this
year, and finally decided that France must be the place to go. :o

I know there are quite a few of you that are French collectors,
so maybe I can track a few of you down while I am there. :)

I am hoping that Jenn can come with me, that is if I can talk
her into it. Maybe Angela as well!! Muwahahahaha!! We would
have such a great time!! /gg

So anyone know of anything that I should do while I am there?? :o

Now that sounds like fun. I already know of one place in Paris I'm going to go to. Already look it up and everything. :P

I wasn't collecting cels yet when I was in France so I can't recommend any places to check out for that...

But you should seriously go south for the vacation factor. Southern France is fantastic and has some of the most amazing beaches I've ever been to. I'm mainly familiar with Montpelier, but Nice, Provence, that whole area is really great.

I think that kayaking in The Verdon Gorge was hands down my favorite thing there...unfortunately that was about 10 years ago so I can't remember the specific village to recommend visiting. But I highly highly recommend looking into it. It’s gorgeous.

I spent months touring France some years ago. I stayed in Paris, Arles, Nice, and Saint Tropez and even went over to Monte Carlo. I absolutely loved Saint Tropez and Arles the most, I think. Have fun!

About Paris, send a list of desired place to see, number of days, touristic or more popular typical places (like private courtyards photographies) and I'll help to arrange the tour. Same for East of the country and german border.

Hello, I'm french, I can recommend you to go in southern, Provence, (Gorges du Verdon is an exellent place) St-Tropez why not but becarrefull it's a very very small town, but very typcal (not in summer of course, with all tourists)
In this location in French Riviera (South Est), there is Le Lavandou, Cavalaire, Saint Raphaël, Fregus, Nice, Cannes (the town of the cinema festival)
I lived 4 years in this location next to Le Lavandou, so I know well...

Lavandou: http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl ... i=&start=0

Marseille: http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl ... i=&start=0

Saint-Tropez: http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl ... i=&start=0

and my favorite place, Les Gorges Du Verdon: http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl ... i=&start=0

the town to visite by exellence is Paris of course, the famous places like Eiffel Tower, etc... but exept that it's not a very good town... (becarreful, the Parisians are not sympatic! and alaways stressed... )

Paris: http://images.google.com/images?hl=fr&q ... a=N&tab=wi

a beautiful place to see in south of France is Next Marseille town (the 2nd France's touwn after Paris) the Calanques de Cassis (in summer there is a lot of tourists too)

I hope the links will works on your computer ^^!

In South of France we have so wonderful landscapes, it's too bad to stop in Paris (who is in North of France)

I am actually moving to Paris tomorrow, after living in London for three years and a half. I would be glad to finally meet the people whose posts I have been reading for years on this board, so don't hesitate to send me a PM if you feel like it.
