MAJOR HELP NEEDED NOW!!! Mandarake shipping!?
So I won and paid for my first mandarake auction and they sent me confirmation with the tracking # from dhl. Well the shipping info seems very wrong! It reads
Mireya White
Texas, TX 78541
United States
That's wrong! It should read
Mireya White
Edinburg, TX 78541
United States
Im confused as to how it could be accepted if Texas is not even a city in Texas (at least that I know of) and I filled in all my shipping info correctly on Mandarake not to mention it shows again in paypal which is how I paid. Am I overreacting, is this usually how it looks when tracking DHL? Or should I immediately get in contact with them to retrieve the package? I reeeeeally don't wanna' lose this package! TT^TT it was a wishlist!
Here's how I filled in the shipping info on mandarake if it helps:
(327 Stonehill Edinburg/Texas/USA)
Street and city/state/province
(78541)
Zip Code
Please help, im freaking out! Thanks!

Funny, I didn't know Mandarake used DHL. My shipments have always been EMS.
Anyways, there shouldn't be any problem at all, since the correct zip code is showing. Any of the carriers (DHL, FedEX, USPS, etc) use a two-dimensional bar code on the package label to route the package to its destination through automated sorting hubs. Until the package gets to its final dispatch location (where the package is loaded onto a delivery truck for dropoff at your home), no one is even going to look at the actual address printed on the label. At your local dispatch point, no one is going to be confused about the state name showing up for the city name since the zip code is correct. Also, given you have the tracking number, you can check each day where the package is. If a delivery is attempted and it's not successful, then you can contact the carrier. Calling the carrier before it reaches it final delivery dispatch location isn't going to help. The carrier is not going to try to intercept a shipment in transit. The carrier will only look at it once it's at its supposed end location.
This is the sort of thing that happens fairly routinely. I don't see this giving anyone any problems at all in getting the package to you.

Really interesting, I had once the same case, they repeated my street name as being my town (unfortunaly this street is also a town
). Fortunaly ZIP code was correct and package just had a 1 day delay.
About DHL / EMS shipment, they use both for some weeks. Mandarake company certainly negociated with DHL a discount for an amount of shipment (would be interesting to know the yearly amount of sended packages by this major company).

I agree that so long as the zip code is correct you'll probably be okay... I ordered an engagement ring from the UK a few months ago, and when I checked the tracking info it had my state wrong. I majorly freaked out (as you can imagine, most expensive thing I've ever bought aside from my car.) I called the post office and they seemed incapable of fixing the info on the package but they told me so long as the zip was correct not to worry about it. It did come through okay.

It seems that Mandarake is using DHL more often now -- if you read the order page, it actually states that they use EMS, DHL, etc. Since I had a friend recently get a package sent DHL from them (she DID get her package OK), I specifically requested EMS on my last shipment from them, and that's how they shipped it.
I would suggest to anyone in the future who prefers EMS that you just request it in the notes area when you place your order (this is BEFORE you pay!)

Got both company delivery this morning
So,... from the shipment dates wrote on them, seems that DHL is a bit faster (-2 days). Well, to be confirmed with future shipments...

It looks like it should work out fine (hopefully!) since the State, and Zip code are correct. Those are the more important parts.
Hmm, in the future I would avoid DHL. I hear they're the lowest of the low in regards to shipping (it's cheap but relatively unsafe). They probably work just fine if the address is good but once something goes awry forget trying to get them to fix it. I ordered some clothing from japan and they didn't say they used DHL. After several months the package never showed so I asked for the tracking number. I checked the tracking and it had an address for some random place in CT but I'm in NY. The package said it was delivered and signed for. I asked DHL for a copy of the signature but they said they didn't have one and their excuse was that everything is done digitally now. Shouldn't they have had a digital signature then? I also asked about the wrong address listed and they told me it was the address of the sorting center but I looked up the address and it was someone's house... I did manage to get a refund eventually though.

I confirm that for DHL, I signed on a digital device (as for my previous UPS shipment). For EMS, this is done by our local historical express post so with "sign on paper" deviceoxypetalus wrote:I asked DHL for a copy of the signature but they said they didn't have one and their excuse was that everything is done digitally now.
