What the Hell is going on with Paypal???

So I can only send one payment from my credit card before it shuts off all other payments?? I can only send an e-check now?? What is going on? When did these changes come about?

What?! Don't freak me out... I have to send a payment to someone today!

I just logged into my account and I see a message saying they're going to be working on the site today -- maybe that has something to do with it?

That sounds like what happened to me when I got within a few weeks of the expiration date I originally gave for my credit card. It's a gentle reminder to get into your profile and update your information. At least I hope so.

Kinda relieved I'm not the only one who had paypal issues.
I had to send payment just 3 days ago and it wouldnt
let me use my checking account to pay, it kept saying
"Sorry your bank account cannot be used for ths transaction"

A total 'wtf' moment... so I logged out and logged back in
and didnt give me the message but as soon as I went to
edit the payment selection to credit card it said it again.
I figured they were either
A) they were working on paypal site that moment (it was midnight)
B) the server wasnt connecting to verify the bank account
or
C) they put some crazy new rules in place I wasnt aware of.

Honestly I have no idea whats going on w/ paypal but I hope
someone here finds out answers. I got tired of digging thru their crap
site for one.

Ohhh, the credit card expiration thing does make some sense, since PayPal uses CCs as a 'back up' for instant payments made from bank accounts.

Shampoo... I hear you on finding any info on PayPal's site. Their help area NEVER works right for me. Or I spend an hour trying to locate the actual information I need. Half the time I never do find it and end up giving up. *sigh*

But I can't use any of my credit cards...and i have three on file. Plus, I can't go directly from my bank...I can only use an e-check - which I hate!

So I was able to log back in just a bit ago and finish the transaction. I don't know if it was an issue brought on by the maintainance or just what the deal was.

Just a little while ago, I was able to send a payment in part funded by a credit card, too. *shrugs* I also noticed the maintenance message was gone off the PayPal account summary page.

I'm guessing it was just their site maintenance, after all.

Well, the only thing I can add here is that I never use PayPal on Thursdays. That's the day PayPal does maintenance. It's supposed to be from 1am until 5am EST but I've noticed it at other hours on Thursdays too.
