Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone!

I actually didn't ask for ANY cels for my birthday. Instead I got this painting by Aaron Jasinski. He is my favorite working artist.

Very nice! It has the quality I like in the best cels: a strong 3-dimensional illusion. The character really looks like a plastic figurine that's been photographed in life. The traditional dress also contrasts nicely with the somewhat incongruous walkie-talkie she's holding. Congratulations!

Thanks Sensei! I've been admiring Aaron Jasinski's work for a couple of years. I especially love the way he painted her eyes.
