For this price, you have an handwritten Miyazaki sketch, what else to say ?

Indeed, 100 JPYsensei wrote:Was that pedestrian traffic signal (in Photo #2) showing "Walk" or "Don't Walk"?
(I suppose it would make a difference in the value to a collector...)
Maybe an EP11 fetish, "The day Tokyo-3 stood still" is really nice

Ok, here's a new one that I just don't get.
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/item ... 4170100001
What is so special about this cel??
Am I reading this wrong?? It is an A16 right??
Not an A1E. So there are at least 15 other cels
in the sequence??

Having not seen the series I can only expect that the scene is a reaction shot. Most likely this cel is the only of the sequence in which his full reaction is shown (eyes fully open, face clearly viewed) others in the sequence could be with him turning and looking upwards.Gonzai wrote:Ok, here's a new one that I just don't get.

Ha ha ha what a mess, I was having a walk with the kid trolley outside and just came back.
About Saint Seiya, don't panic with prices, demand driven by only a bunch of people for obscure reasons, like a speculative bubble. Question is "Does this cel deserve such price ?", well NEVER (fyi my auction set on this item limit during the family walk was 30.000 JPY for exhibition project). Saint Seiya is 4% of global demand, compare to 32% for Dragon Ball, there's definitively no match.
I had last days a kind match on the Anne of Green Gables EP 07 pan layout handwritten by Miyazaki till a 150,000 JPY limit that was definitively a valid price. Does this mean that this Saint Seiya cel is twice better than an handwritten Miyazaki artwork, NEVER again. Additionnaly, pushing this demonstration there would not be resale issue for Anne with a confortable margin, while to balance this Saint Seiya price with market reality there would be something like 50 years to wait.
Maybe the answer is a simple cash duel between two collectors, to show the other a superior firepower and a trophy...
