I really like that one. It's also a good example of the Zoldyke family's attitude to what most people would consider everyday, ordinary things. Phones or e-mails aren't safe enough, because they might be monitored, so they have to send sensitive information by messenger birds. Furthermore, pigeons might fall prey to predatory birds, which makes them too unreliable. What's the solution?....Using the toughest, most kick-ass messenger bird imaginable, of course. What seems utterly bizarre and over-the-top at first actually makes perfect sense when you think about it.
