I probably kept about 25% of my entire collection. With the years, my taste changed a lot and my collection became a lot more specific.

I haven't kept up with the actual numbers, but I think I've kept well over 90% of the cels I've bought, and probably 100% of the sketches.

From the main series I collect, I think I've kept over 95% as long as I don't count the pieces I've traded away to get a cel from the same series. If it's not something I collect there's a 50/50 chance of me letting it go so turnover in my "other anime" section is higher. However I feel that keeping or not keeping isn't really that important because I view the collection as something organic and grows with taste or distaste. So I wouldn't worry about how much I've kept. Most of the pieces I've let go were ones I bought early on while my taste weren't as defined yet. :D

I've kept about 97% of my collection. My taste hasn't changed much coz I hardly expand the titles I collect. Like other collectors, the ones I sold were the ones I bought in my early stage of collecting. Sometimes I think abt trimming down my collection but am just too lazy.

I've only sold two of my cels and that was very early on in the first year of collecting. I've also thought about slimming down my collection, I may give that some more serious thinking.

I think I've kept around 98% as well. I haven't let anything go since 2002.

Hm. Kept (or rather, intend to keep) 60%. As some items came in sets, I would end up buying one and selling four. I didn't really mind, sometimes the sources were not publically available and this was a way to get cels out to people who wanted them more than I did. I tended to character specialise (valgarb from slayers, dilandau from escaflowne) so people often got really nice Linas or Hitomis/Vans while I got to keep my pretties to myself.

I really don't know an % amount of how much I kept or sold. Compared to what I own at this time I really didn't sell that much over the 12+ years.

I actually regret selling several pieces that left my collection over the years. :shrug :l :l :l

HA - for a long time there, my gallery was like a revolving
door. A lot of things went out as fast as they came in. Just
ask Anime Obsessed and Baylor, they both have alot of
items that I once had in their galleries now. :hurt:

I don't do that as much now that I am more focused,
however, I will still at times with Vampire Knight and
some Samurai 7, so apparently I am still rather wishy
washy, but no where near as bad as I once was. X|

So, with that in mind, I would say I have sold about
70% of what I have owned. The only reason that is
not 80 or 90% is only because of the sheer volume
of sketch sets I currently own compared to the overall
cels and sketches that I have owned in the past.

I don't really keep track of cels I've sold. I like to let go. No regrets that way. But if I had to guess, I'd say maybe 50%. That's mostly because my real life took over. Plus, I've been fine tuning what I really like and want to collect/keep.
Can you hear this fangirl squee?!
