Is naruto on fillers again? It just seems like the story is going nowhere....

Basically yes. While it is filler, they are still plugging in main story stuff at the beginning & end of each filler episode.

yeah

it's as if they are telling us: "Yep, it's fillers but we don't want you to disconect from the series until they are over so we keep leaking the good stuff little by little"

It's not really working for me though

In my opinion, at least it's not horrible fillers. I'm kind of enjoying them.

I always prefer the main story though.
