The silver lining: 400+ items uploaded and done for now

Post by Xelloss »

Due to unexpected really bad weather, my thanksgiving family visit vacation became a stay-cation. So... this mean I actually have some time to update (I bet most of you thought I wasn't even around anymore).

The update will take place throughout the week. I'm literally hundreds of items behind (not even counting the near two foot stack of revolution/evolution sketches), so no idea how much I'll get to it. I started with a bang, though, with one of the very best items I've gotten in years:

http://xelloss.rubberslug.com/gallery/i ... mID=320335

Expect most Slayers sections and several non-Slayers sections to update at some point. I'll post again when I'm "done" (aka given up until next time).

EDIT:

I've been scanning and uploading since then, and I'm well past 400 now, and was good and did a bunch of pan scanning. I've still got a lot of stuff left, especially from Slayers Revolution / Evolution + Slayers movies, but this will probably be it for uploads for awhile. I'll start sifting the new items from the top of sections within the next few days. I'm now reclaiming my dining room from the art explosion.

In the last batch, check out:
- Slayers (most sections)
- Yuu Yuu Hakusho (new section)
- Tenchi Muyo (painted settei)
- Tenshi Ni Narumon (OP)
- Sketches & Autographs

Thanks,

- Karen

Thanks everyone, but I'm not done yet. I've uploaded over 120 things so far, but I have a ton yet to go O_o

Right now I'm trying to piece pan scans together, but I might take a break and upload more standard-sized stuff.

Onward!

Some excellent & awesome new cel additions to your Gallery, congratulations!!

I totally agree with Syan, the Escaflowne cel is a true Dream-wishlist cel.

I ended up procrastinating the pan cels when I realized that my existing pan scans in rubberslug seem to have been damaged in the latest update. You know how the thumbnails don't really handle pans well? That seems to be true of the "larger" images too. I don't even know if the original sized images are even still on the server.

In the mean time I'm still scanning, but I've put off pans. I've got over 200 things scanned, and should have that batch ready to post within the next day.

Well over 200 items have been uploaded and over 250 have been scanned, awaiting the standard scanner bed crop/rotate/color balance work.

I have been avoiding pans. I really need to stop avoiding pans. I'm starting to wonder why I'm even trying to do all of this ^^;;;; I had someone point out how to access the original pan scans from the backend of rubberslug, so I guess that can't continue to be my excuse.

Oh, for those of you commenting on the lack of Slayers Revolution/Evolution stuff in galleries, I just uploaded a bunch from those series. I have a ton left to scan left too ^_^;;;;;

BTW, if anyone notices that I scanned and uploaded something that happened to already be in my gallery, please let me know. Once I'm done I plan on doing another sweep to make sure everything I meant to upload is there, and that I didn't accidentally duplicate, but help is always appreciated.

More than 300 items... and still going. I've been doing nothing else for about 12 hours straight. I think this newly scanned pan Lina sums up the effort right now:

Time for a break... and maybe a nap.

I'll try to do a bit more later on today. The pans are going to slow me down.

The madness ends, at least for now. I've got stuff left, but I need my dining room back -- it's been buried in art since Thanksgiving! Check the top post for details on the latest batch.

Thanks for looking,

- Karen
