Hello Everyone!
I finally had a bit of time today and have been trying to finally stick an episode ID on my Donald Duck cel:
http://starphoenix.rubberslug.com/galle ... mID=110374
Unfortunately, it has become way more difficult than I had initially thought.
Here is all I can tell you about the cel.
Originally came out of the Disneyland Art Corner Store, came in the original matte with the Disney gold seal int he back saying original production, etc.
The store opened September 1955 - 1960's. So, I had checked all episodes from 1955 - 1968 and could not find where this cel came from.
All I know is Donald is behind the wheel of a car or a lawn mower and looked ticked off. So, I am guessing he is probably going after the chipmunks or someone. He has the traditional suit and hat.
Anyway, if someone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!
Need Help WIth a Donald Episode ID...

The funny part is when ya sit down to watch them, a lot of the episodes do not feature his sailor outfit. In fact, maybe just 5-8 episodes feature this uniform from the 1950's and 60's (never noticed that before until I had to search for it). So, I scanned through those and did not find him in there. They pretty much stopped making the classic Donald episodes shortly after Walt Disney's death. So, not too many from the 60's. But, it is just weird how I cannot find this episode . . . .

Your Donald cel is getting pretty hard to find StarPhoenix.
I think, I nearly watch all the episodes from the 50's & above plus couple from the 40's.
Was having my bets on "Donald's tire Trouble" episode to where the cel can be found,
so far watching it 4 times (love it when Donald get stuck in the tyre) came up nothing & same to the other episodes.
The Donald cel is going to show up in DisneyShorts one day "scratch-scratch" maybe oneday.

LOL Thank you so much for helping me look for it. I know it is definitely 100% an original cel and it originated from the Disney Art Corner back in the 1950's/60's. The ONLY other possibility, that it could have been a cel from a scene that was later cut from one of the shorts. I have seen art from episodes that were never even shown and were instead just thrown out due to budgeting issues or other problems. So, this cel may be a reminant of one of those scenarios. Oh, isn't cel hunting fun?Massacrist Manslayer wrote:Your Donald cel is getting pretty hard to find StarPhoenix.
