I loved my Intervideo WinDVD9 Plus, but it's not compatible with my new desktop (it has Windows 7, my old laptop had XP). It had an Image Capture tool and had arrows, so that I could play my movie frame by frame to get the exact shot I wanted. I'm now hesitant to purchase WinDVD10, because I don't know if the frame by frame controls come with it. Anywho, then I would open the image with Photoshop and go from there. ;)

I use the VLC player. You just pause the scene and click snapshot. Simple! 8) But before that, I used control/printscreen on my PC or my digital camera.
