Rubberslug Down?

Post by sensei »

I tried earlier this morning to view an RS item that was mentioned on another thread, and got an "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage" error. I figured it was a temporary glitch, but now, when I try to go direct to the RS home page, or to my Account page, I get the same error. On clicking the diagnosis bar, I get a message that says "Windows cannot find the host page using DNS: The Domain Name Server may be down."

Anyone know what is going on?

I can't access the website either, I don't know...

Guess I'll have to postpone uploading new items.

I got the same messages, Sensei. Which, I know, probably doesn't help much -- but at least you know you're not alone. :)

I've been unable to reach RS all morning, too. I get a "cannot find server" error from Firefox, and attempting a trace route gives me nothing but "unable to resolve target system name". So, it looks like a DNS issue, I guess. I get the following from a DNS checker tool:
50.0% Query timed out at ns1.advarion.com (38.112.168.3)
50.0% Query timed out at ns2.advarion.com (38.112.168.4)
Seems like RS's name servers are down or something X| :?

Yokata! Hope it wasn't something serious. Thanks to Jason for keeping this site healthy.
