I am very pleased to have finally found a gorgeous original concept piece made by Evind Earle from Sleeping Beauty (1959). I was really pleased to have come across this beauty!

Also found one SUPER HUGE wishlist cel that I have been trying to obtain for 2.5 years, although this one will not be posted for a few months. And believe it or not, it is NOT Disney!!

Congratulations! As you note, the art has an impressionist, almost abstract look, reminiscent of Paul Klee to me. It's interesting to see what artistic styles lie behind familiar animated movies that seem, on the surface, to be very realistic.

What a beautiful addition to your vintage collection! Mary Blair is one of my favorite artists and I am envious that you got such a stellar concept piece! She is highly coveted - anything produced by her will sell out like $.50 pork soup dumplings!

The soft tone colors and abstract design really makes it a unique and fundamental piece to the production settings of Cinderella. It is truly a gem!
