Sensei's Quirky Tour: You Make the Choice!

These are the interesting suggestions I've gotten from other collectors or from the recesses of my demented mind. What think?

I posted on your RS blog, too, but thought I'd leave a note here, as well.

What about a "beginnings" sort of tour to tie in with your 10th anniversary? (Congrats on that, by the way! Amazing!!) You could maybe show the first piece you collected from each show and add commentary about what you like about that show or why you decided to collect from it.

Well, I kinda planned that for the July/Aug "Quirky Tour," so I wanted to do something that wasn't single-show related (like the aToP tribute now up) and not "Beginnings" either. Something like the "Running with Scissors" tour: a common motif or technique or subject that would bring in lots of different series. I'm tempted to look through the "Show Me" thread for an idea. ("Mmmm ... show me a green-haired character holding a pink plate ... I think I got a couple of those ...")

What could Sensei show you? (Fifteen to twenty-four times...)

Suggestions? I like to use it to make use of lesser-visited nooks of my gallery or to explore interesting issues of the animation craft that are illustrated by items I've collected.

Hmmm suggestions for a 'Quirky Tour'.

How about a "Showing some love to those un-loved" - dedicating a tour to the 15/20 least visited art pieces (going by the RS individual counters) in your gallery? I imagine that there would be quite a few interesting pieces waiting to be re-discovered; may find a few surprise omissions that you thought would be more popular than they turned out to be + I am sure a few funny gems.

You may have to work out a 'common' time control for each piece - such as how many visits in a single month - to eliminate the discrepancies in time between 'older' and 'newer' cels.

I really enjoy your celebrated "Quirky Tours" and looking forward to what ever shape the upcoming quirkiness may be.
