Hello beta members,
I just figured I would point out this ebay seller . Magicstone101. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sailor-Moon-Cel ... 500wt_1287 this person has decided to place in his/her auction that this cel is reserved for sailor_orbits and no one else it to bid. I figured would inform the forum of this .

Re: The nerve of some people
Perhaps the buyer and seller agreed to do a sale through eBay, and since eBay offers no other way to make a listing for a particular buyer -- they did it this way. Unless I missed something, this is not technically against eBay's rules, since they do give sellers the right to determine who can bid on their listings. IMHO, there's nothing here to get too bent out of shape about -- private deals are done all the time, and that's really all this is
.
eBay forces buyers and sellers who wish to complete private transactions no real option to do so, which I think is stupid, given their "no outside sales" policy. They don't want you transacting off eBay, and yet give you no really good way for a buyer and seller to reach an agreement on something not currently listed on eBay and then complete the deal (all you can do is add an amount to an invoice, but that assumes there already is a transaction between the buyer and seller and that the buyer hasn't yet paid for their item).
Just my two yen ...

Pretty much what Zerospace said. I participated in a private transaction for quite a rare and pricey item, and a private BIN listing was the safest bet for both of us should something have gone wrong. The listing title made it very well hidden though, and I was refreshing like mad anyway for the listing to pop up. It seems like if eBay wants you to only use them for transactions, they'd provide special listings similar to Etsy's alchemy (I believe it's called?) system. Everybody wins, and no frustrations from people who happen to come across a private listing but want it.

No need to get worked up over it. It just means that you have more money to spend on other things.
Lots of things happen behind the scenes all the time. I'm just content having the ability to see them in an online gallery. Making people feel bad about their purchases is a great way to ensure that the owner will never display it.

Like what everyone else was saying. Seems to be a private agreement between the 2 parties. I have done that many times through Ebay with a seller (agreement on a fixed price and they listed the auction/BIN just for me). I would not get upset over it . . . .

So, does this mean you'll finally be uploading 100% of the items you own to your RS gallery?cutiebunny wrote:I'm just content having the ability to see them in an online gallery.
