AX Cel collectors gathering 2013

Well it's that time of the year again.

Anime Expo in Los Angeles California will be July 4th - July 7th this year.

I have arranged to have our Annual Cel Collectors gathering know as Slugfest to be held on Friday July 5th at the Bonaventure Brewing Company located on the 4th floor #418A of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel located at 404 S. Figuroa Blvd north of the Convention center.

It's the same place as last year and will be at 7:00pm. Like last year we will be able to order off the menu and I did get a promise that they will limit it to a max of 6 people to each check.

I must give them a final total no later than Monday July 1st.

Do remember that even if you choose not to attend AX you are still welcome at this event.

I'm going to have to put tentative. I've got my daughters friends with me and they want to go to the Visual Kei Cell concert. I think that is on Friday night also. So if we come, there will be four of us.

I'm planning on being there.

I'm glad it's on Friday and not on Thursday. I might have to work Thursday night so Thursday is not a good day for me. I'll be staying at the Westin Bonaventure this year so I shouldn't have a problem with getting there on time this year.

JWR, did you see my folders last year? I took them out so late last year that I'm not sure if you seen anything.

Keropi I do not think I saw them last year but then I was visiting a lot sharing what I brought that evening.

The hubby and I would probably attend AX again this year if we hadn't just returned from a Hawaii trip to visit family >_<. Talk about feeling broke.

Shame, too, cuz I would totally go for a run with you again, Gonzai .

Looks like there will still be more people there than two years ago though.

How many people came in 2011? Nine or ten? We fit on two tables. It was kind of sparse.

Last year we had 22 sign up but only 18 made it. At this point we have 18 if all can make it.

Always would enjoy seeing more but we plan on having a fun evening for all that make it.

Yeah, last year there were a lot more people than two years ago and that was good.

I'm not sure what I'll bring this year. Excluding last year, I've only showed my folders to one collector in-person. He lived only a few blocks from me. I've only brought my folders to Anime Expo twice (out of seven times). I brought my Maison Ikkoku cels to a Maison Ikkoku on DVD Panel many years ago, but the two people that I knew from our message board didn't show up at the panel.

You know I still have artwork in unopened mail packages and boxes. Lol
