So this is just a friendly FYI to those in the community whom regard JD as a friend. She was in a pretty horrific car accident Wednesday March 25th. She is alive and that is the most important thing but she shattered her knee cap, has a gaping hole in her face, and lets just say she needs to be put back together again. She went in for surgery today to piece together the shattered knee and the doctors are hopeful that all is well. Family and friends have been by her side since the accident and she is in good hands.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. I've enjoyed our fujoshi banterings and I really hope she can quickly recover. We're scheduled to go to a couple of cons together in the next few months so I'm hoping she's back to tip top shape by then.

My gosh, I'm so sorry to read about Jadeduo's desperate situation! What an awful thing to happen, especially to someone who brought so much fun to the community this year. I'll be praying for her speedy recovery as well. (I hope all went well with the surgery!)

Any further news on Tara's progress?

Would it be feasible to get a mini 'kick-starter' underway for her (or something similar) that will allow us to purchase a nice gift?

I imagine it would be quite lonely being in a hospital by yourself, especially if separated from your laptop; thinking along the lines of a combined "Get Well soon" & "We are all thinking of you" type of gift. Even if we get a basket of nice long-life flowers, it is something physical that can be placed in her room so that each time she looks at her gift she knows that it was from all of us.
Plus it would be a nice way to show our appreciation for all of JD's efforts in running both the latest Cel & Sketch competitions.
