Re: Something fun
Enjoyed looking through your sketches, which really show the diversity of animation styles in this series. This one stopped my because of the odd and compelling expression on Kagome's face:

As I noted when I used the first couple of episodes in the class I taught, the odd thing about this series is how naturally Kagome takes to the magical world into which she drops. So while Inuyasha is hopping into this adventure with his usual fierce outamyway! look, Kagome seems to be analyzing the situation much more calmly, almost thinking "OK, I understand what's going on here." But how?
And fingernails! Fingernails make me tingle all over, because second-rate animators always leave them out or finesse them somehow.
My gallery is "closed" but still live and undergoing some updating and renovation at the same old place:

Re: Something fun
Thanks, Kino. I'm out of the rehab now and verrrry slowly closing in on the last of my update. Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. Meantime...
Merry Christmas! -- a wonderful new VHD image. Love how Madhouse makes hair into an important player in scenes like this.

This is a great Spunky! I loved watching Rocko's Modern Life in the 90s and I'd never thought of collecting from it. Agreed no way it would get shown now, I doubt the likes of Ren and Stimpy would either.

EVA-01 has a nice and very distinctive profile for a 'bot... also, I like the speed lines.

Re: Something fun
You know my passions in your collection, ranging from CCS to your fabulous Miyuki-chan Jabberwock and storyboards. So I explored a bit farther and lingered at this wonderful Angelic Layer sketch, I believe by Yuka Kudo, character designer and animation director for Full Moon o Sagashite (2002-03) and Kyo kara Maoh! (2004).

Reviving Something Fun! Also gave me an excuse to browse through Sensei's gallery, which is always a pleasure. Although I was a little sad to see CCS is listed under "Classic Anime". Make me feel so old... lols. Anyway, had to pick this awesome genga of Yue: http://sensei.rubberslug.com/gallery/in ... mID=153758 What an awesome dynamic pose, and the wings... ~drool~~~
