Fall 2017 Anime Season list
"Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment." Harlan Ellison

Re: Fall 2017 Anime Season list
The Fall Season seems to have a bit more mature dramas and less comedy and moe shows compared to the average ratio. There's a lot of sequel anime coming out. Not much isekai and not many web novels/light novels that I've read.
The King's Game got an anime? I read the manga for that a long time ago. If it's based off the same manga I read, it had people raging about how it ended. Perhaps the anime will have people raging too.

Re: Fall 2017 Anime Season list
So far I've only been watching:
My Catastrophic Girlfriend (Chinese anime), Just Because, Net-juu no Susume, Full Time Magister S2 (Chinese anime), Imouto sae Ireba, Kujira no Kora, Boku no Kanojo ga and Houseki no Kuni. I've been skimming through some others, but I haven't fully watched any other episodes.
The second season of Full Time Magister turned into a monster anime and I'm not finding it as interesting as the first season. I didn't get into the first episode of the ecchi girlfriend four panel anime so I guess I'll have to pass on that one.
Houseki no Kuni got me interested in the manga so I read it. I found it pretty interesting. It was hauntingly surreal and intriguing. The main character changed so much, That was quite a journey for Phos. I look forward to seeing the rest of the anime.

I'm enjoying Garo: Vanishing Line. It's got old skool sensibilities, classic characters, and over the top designs.

Recovery of an MMO Junkie (Net-juu no Susume) is also pretty good for a Rom-Com. I would say that Morioka Moriko is my favorite female lead of the season.

Zodiac War (12 Taisen) is OK. I wish the Boar had survived for a bit longer, and the fight between the Tiger and the Sheep seemed like a rehash of the Chicken and the Dog. I have not read the novel, but I'm guessing the Rat will last the longest.
Edit: The Garo clip was replaced.

Re: Fall 2017 Anime Season list

I've been wondering this for years but...
Why does the artwork in the anime Noein look so fuzzy? Even the Blu-ray version of the anime looks so fuzzy. They must have done that on purpose so that the character drawings wouldn't stand out from the other art, but it's a shame because the backgrounds look so unfocused and indistinct.

I never watched Noein.
Inuyashiki is pretty good. Its opening animation is great.

So far, it's a misanthropic anime, but that is to be expected from Hiroya Oka (the guy who gave us Gantz). Society beats the empathy out of people, and creates self-centered, apathetic, sociopaths waiting to demean others based on the next half-truth sound bite. I did find it a bit funny that in the show the Gantz fan has a normal sense of right and wrong, and the One Piece fan is a serial murderer.
