Commissioned artwork, link to follow progress- finished
On March 31st we lost our 13 year old cat "Moose" to cancer. To remember him I checked out several artists before deciding on an artist in San Diego for a commission work.
Anyone who would like to follow the work can check it out at

Sorry to hear of your loss. We still have a fond memory for our cat Socks who died just about ten years ago of cancer. It is fitting that you've chosen a serious artist who is willing to share her portrait and her working strategy to viewers in this way.

Re: Commissioned artwork, link to follow progress
Thank you Sensei, as sad as it is we were able to get an extra 45 days of him at home being happy after almost losing him in early Feb to an upper respiratory infection. He enjoyed his time being loved and eating extra food each day but continued to lose weight until the strain became too much and he suffered a stroke.
I have been lucky to have made a lot of friends among the comic art community and when discussing this project this artist Barbara Marker came highly recommended. She did ask permission to post her work which I gladly gave and I am sharing the progress in it's creation with anyone who would like to view it.

Thanks Teggacat
Yes it hard to lose a loved furry family member.
We still have our other cats as well as those kittens I have been able to rescue and get adopted from my work like this little one now a year old viewtopic.php?f=13&t=31554&p=358718#p358718 who is doing well with his adopted family after ending up needing his leg removed. We currently still have his brother.

The eyes are wonderful and full of life. So glad Moose will live on in a portrait this vivid.

5/1 Pencil artwork is completed , next step will be to scan it and then print out a 12x17 piece which will then be colored.
when completed we will receive both pieces.
