Kilala or Kirara
well as usual i'm bored so i thought i'd make a pointless poll. I've heard her name said and spelled both ways so it got me to thinkin, which way of saying her name do you prefer, i myself like Kilala i think Lala sounds nicer then Rara...

"Kirara" as nice ring to it... You can hear the "purr" in the name.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

Honestly I've never seen it spelled with L's, just R's. But it's pretty much the same as the conversation going on in the YGO forum - spelling tends to vary quite a bit ... especially with L's and R's. :/
That said, I prefer Kirara ^_^

I haven't studied much of the japanese language so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I recall that in japanese, there is no way to differ betweeen r/l (I think the same goes with b/v as well), and so when japanese is translated to english, it could be either Kilala or Kirara. AMG fans recall that Verdandi is Belldandy?
I have seen it spelled both ways, Kilala and Kirara, but I prefer the latter much much more.
And I agree with In_Gabriel_We_Trust, it has that purr to it.
And Baylor, I think I do recall seeing the name in one episode of my fansubs (I refuse to watch it dubbed).

Actually, you're entirely correct Echo. I know that one of my fav doujinshi sellers on ebay *used* to have something on their "about me" page about that very subject, but it's gone.Echo wrote:I haven't studied much of the japanese language so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I recall that in japanese, there is no way to differ betweeen r/l (I think the same goes with b/v as well), and so when japanese is translated to english, it could be either Kilala or Kirara.

Also correct about the B/V - hence occasionally seeing Veji's name spelled with a B .. but thats fairly uncommon.

Hehe .. now that just looks funny to me.AMG fans recall that Verdandi is Belldandy?![]()

Guess I'm in the minority here but I like the L version better. It's the one I can say without tripping over my tongue. And since I've only seen the dubbed version, it's also what I'm used to. I'm not gonna argue with anyone though. Everyone has their preference.
