Well, let's look at the "Tale of the Tape" as they say in boxing:
Hammy- Member of 1st continental congress, helped ratify the constitution, rode with Washington in the war, helped write the Federalist papers, died of a gunshot wound inflicted in a dual with gubenatorial rival Aaron Burr.
Ronny- Screen Actor of some noted fame, fought "communism" as a member of the SAG, governor of California, shot by assassin only months into his first term as President, lobbied for new taxes which financially stimulated upper-middle class families but widened the homeless gap, along with Gorbachev, ended the Cold War and depleted the world supply of nuclear arms, while he was President, the country earned a trillion dollar defecit but enjoyed econimc prosperity not seen in decades.
So, I'd say it is yin and yang. I don't have a problem with out with the old and in with the new. It is the way of the world. When Clinton dies, they'll put his face on the $1, because it is the bill most often stuffed inside a G-String.

Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

I wouldn't mind at all. Nothing against Hamilton, but Reagan's policies revitalized the US and democracy around the world in a time thought unthinkable.
His era is tangible proof that communist, socialist philosophy and ideology has no historic precedence of success.
And god, it makes my skin crawl to watch backstabbing soulless Dem's suck up and pretend to give a damn just so they can keep their asses in the limelight...

I am a Christian.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

However, I think as much as I appreciated Reagan as a president, I wouldn't want to change the image on the $10 just for the bad precident it would set. It would just start the ball rolling and where would it end? I'd vote to leave the money well enough alone.

I guess the last time they put a deceased president on US currency was Eisenhower on the dollar coin, Kennedy on the fifty cent piece and FDR on the dime.
Was Eisenhower really that popular when he passed away? Most scholars liberal and concervative I've heard feel that Eisenhower was only about average as a president.
I can go either way on this. If they do it, it would be interesting, but if they don't that's okay with me too.
EDIT:
Okay I just asked my dad. He said that Eisenhower was extremely popular at the time of his death. He said they even had such a thing as "Ike Jackets" (whatever those were - it's before my time
).

Who was that? Let's wait and see what they do.

I like Ike!
Oh, sorry.
I dunno... it's an interesting thought. I think Ronald Reagan was one of the most popular presidents, though- in his second term he won 49 of the 50 states. Still, I don't know why they'd replace Hamilton (going back to blueheaven's notes) and not someone like Grant or even Jackson (blech! hate Jackson!)
My father is an extreme conservative and I grew up with the name Ronald Reagan said in reverence and a type of awe. I remember watching who knows how many state of the union addresses and countless speeches by Reagan. I remember many democrats who refused to applaud during those, which is kind of funny, since Reagan was originally registered as a democrat. I also remember the backlash of many people against him- some valid, some petty. One of the reasons I'm registered as an independent and not a democrat is because I was (and still am) so disgusted at times by many of those democrats and did not want to be associated with them.
From what I can gather from a number of people I've talked with is that the United States under Reagan changed into a country that no longer had to apologize for its greatness. I can't say that I agree with everything that Reagan did, because I can't, but there's no doubting his influence on the world.
Also, I thought Reagan was actually president of SAG for two terms, but I could be mistaken... was one of those weird facts floating around in my brain... I am on a lot of painkillers, though....
