Ah...decisions decisions.
Do I put a bid in for something I want more, but am less likely to win or do I put a bid in for something I want a little less, but am more likely to win?
Does anyone know how crazy the first bid prices go up in the Zenbu catalogs? Do the prices get as crazy as the Big Web Auction prices or are they a little more level headed? Do they ever make public the realized prices of Zenbu catalog items?

I don't know about any of that, but I did get a response from Mandarake on my question of how the minimum bid figures in winning an auction. Here's the answer:
"The reason why you need the minimum bid is because if nobody else places a bid, you are getting the item for the minimum bid, not the maximum bid. Let's say the fixed price for an item was 6000 yen and you place 7000 yen as your minimum price and 10000 as your maximum price. If nobody else places a bid, you win the item for 7000 yen. If someone else places a maximum bid of 9000 yen, you win the item for 10000 yen."

Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense, but if that's the way it is then it would be best to keep your minimum just above the minimum bid stated in Zenbu (unless I'm missing something).Trilogy wrote:I don't know about any of that, but I did get a response from Mandarake on my question of how the minimum bid figures in winning an auction. How long was it after the deadline to submit when you found out if you had won anything or not?
