That looks like what I see when I'm taking painkillers.

(just kidding). Someday I'm going to have time to learn how to read more than the character for the "z" sound.

"The permanent temptation of life is to confuse dreams with reality. The permanent defeat of life comes when dreams are surrendered to reality."

Which character that has the "z" sound?
I kept saying "someday I'll learn the Japanese alphabet" and someday came when I took a class at my university. I learned hiragana and katakana very quickly. (I don't mean I'm smart, I mean we got quized on a five new ones every single week and as soon as we learned the alphabet, our sensei would write in it all the time.) I'd encourage you to learn at least some basics - there's lots of online tutorials.
I only know about 6 kanji though... Japanese classes were pulled out before I got any higher than the first class.
Anyway, I think it's easier to learn than some other alphabets, because the characters look nothing like English letters, so there's nothing to confuse them with.
...erm, sorry, totally off-topic...

I hope it helps
