Actually, when you got deeper into the thread, I started complaining about the same thing. I've just recently discovered that if you don't choose Paypal when listing, you can still get caught and have your listings removed. It's really an arbitrary thing--like gambling.

I think it might have something to do with the phrasing. If you say: "No credit cards through paypal," you might get caught (this is the phrasing I have been using). But if you say: "I'll accept non-cc paypal payments," the bot might not catch that. If Sugarflower has had some luck with this phrasing, then it's worth a try. There's an automated checker they have running through all of the auctions. Sometimes they remove all of your auctions ending on the same day, sometimes they remove one of your auctions.

I'm pretty sure the entire process is run by a program, even though they claim that they check your record before deciding whether to delist your item or contact you. My record is spotless, and I got no prior contact.
I'll have to try that other phrasing the next time I list something.
