Update: You can download the official MS one from their site now. Just hit that wonderful "Windows Update" to corrupt, I mean fix, Microsoft's "feature". =P

hahaha - yoshito, aside from the heerovirus you might also get the ryokovirus too.. X| :P

So you're saying that Microsoft has the fix now, but they won't send it out until next week?? What's up with that?? Do you computer types recommend that I go hit that download button now?

Microsoft officially released the patch at 2 pm pacific today. As to why it took so long to come out... testing takes time.

"Patch tuesday" will also take place as planned next week... but you can get the this one patch now.

I recommend you hit your windows update button now, or go to http://update.microsoft.com .
